it is just so ughhhh girl 🖤 she softens xaden in a way only the woman he loves could. when she finds him on the paraphet and gets close to him when his friends were to scared to. when she takes him up to his room afterwards and cares for him. the way she breaks down his walls and his control. the way she holds him. the intimate knowledge she has of him— of his body, his mind, his secrets. the way she takes him chocolate cake. the way she finds him in between the furniture when he sees his mom again for the first time in years and comforts him, the way he holds her in his lap. the way she pulls him off the ice. the way she comforts him after he channels again and tells him it’s okay.

the way she is with him, and how it affects him, is just so soft, and feminine and magical

I recently worked with lot of love on this illustration that is inspired by a scene on the wall from the Rumbling opening (but I added Marco 🤫) ! I wanted to draw this idea for two years, it’s was lot of work, but I think I learnt a lot and it’s so good to see the 104th reunited ! I love them ❤️‍🔥

The idea that Xaden regularly gets bombarded with Violet’s thoughts about wanting to climb him like a tree whilst he’s just trying to get through the day unscathed is actually so funny to me
