.......... are you demanding that your favourite band give you their music for free? .................. are you demanding that your local theatre let you into the movie you want to see for free? ............................. are you demanding that your fav artist gives you your print for free? ......................................... are you demanding that EA give you all your expansion packs for free?

........................................................... and yet you WILL absolutely DEMAND that every custom content artist, every CAS artist, every genetics artist give you EVERYTHING you WANT..... for FREE.

If you want custom content for free.... then learn to make it for yourself. It would be absolutely AWESOME for all of you to see EXACTLY what goes into making that tea cup, or that kitchen counter. Do it.... I DARE you. Teach yourself how to make alpha hairdos..... go ahead. Do it..... I DARE you.

Can't do it? Then just like everything else in life that you can't do, you need to find someone who can do it for you. And just like your favourite musician, painter, clothing designer, video game programmer, writer.... they will want some compensation for the time and energy that they will spend and yes: Talent that they have. ...... I really cannot comprehend why it is that the SIMS community (and now Inzoi) cannot wrap their heads around this simple point.

AND here's the kicker: if you do NOT want to PAY for it, then go download only free CC/CAS. No one is FORCING you to Pay for something you don't want.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE WORKS BOTH WAYS:

You have the freedom to download free cc, or to pay for cc. CC/CAS artists have the freedom to create free content or to sell it.

............... the whole Skyrim community of Modders making whole ass DLC sized mods for FREE and continuously update and improve them, add patches for them to play well with other mods, provide support etc.

And then there's the Sims community who's approach is this for a pixel dress. 🤷‍♀️ about sums the reason why after 20 years I am finding the sims community so ... ?? The irony in this isn't even funny, because the entitlement is ... where?

And yeah, I'm gonna call this out straight up bc it's this sorta attitude that shows the stark contrast to Skyrim, one of the biggest communities of Modders and players that still continue to play and love a game after well over a decade since it was originally released, because the community continues to be amazing and keeps making the game better and better for players to keep playing.

I love the sims. It has been a game that has been in my life since I was a child. And I used to love the creativity and passion in the community but now I just seem to be left w a bitter taste in my mouth every time I log on and that is genuinely sad.

Freedom of choice DOES work both ways, you're right.
