The Blank Canvas: doodle blog

☀️"Art is neither ugly nor beautiful, it is just interesting..." 🌑

Hi everyone! Welcome to my main blog where I post my art! This post is currently under construction and will be updated as time passes.

Current Obsession: Fnaf Security Breach

Although I have 3 AUs that I am doing concept art for, I have had several people ask if I will ever write any of them in Ao3. Honestly, I would LOVE to write them out, but writing isn't my strong suit. That doesn't mean I won't do it eventually, I intend to (i even have bubble diagrams of the story flow!). However, if you have questions on them, feel free to ask! As long as it's not too spoilery, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions.

My AUs:

Farm AU:

Metal/Rock AU:

Eclipse Concept Doodle (very preliminary)

Arabian Knights AU:

Moon Concept Sketch (very preliminary)

Requests: Not at the moment.

Commissions: Coming Soon…

Other Fandoms: Hollow Knight, Undertale, Legend of Zelda

Messing around with some lighting, and thought Moon would make a perfect subject for this. =)

I feel like Moon would have loads of fun hanging around some neon lights or LED lights that are reinforced to handle his weight for his clown act.

Note, this is not his normal appearance, his eyes are usually bright and white; and the LED lights surrounding him are typically cool in color. Think of it as a cascading waterfall.

So I know this has been done many times, but I wanted to do it anyways. I wanna draw Sun and Moon as part of an Animatronic Circus. It’s called the Neo-Matronic Circus! Get it? Cuz Neo, meaning new and the Neo-m sounds a little like Neon… so yeah. But I was thinking what if the other Animatronics (Freddy and the gang) were the main act and Sun and Moon are like the clown act (they are actually supposed to do the grunt work with the cleaning/security bots when not performing). The ring leader is Springtrap and he likes to keep his circus running like clockwork (you DO NOT mess with his Operations). Also, no humans are part of the circus, but every 4 years, Springtrap hosts a raffle where 5 (haven’t actually thought of a good number, but definitely no more than 6) humans get selected to have a VIP tour of the Circus before and after hours! And wouldn’t ya know it, Y/N won the raffle! Except… what happened to the people that won 20 years ago (the last time the circus was in town)? And why are you the only one who seems to notice that they were never seen again? Hmmm…..🤔

Here’s some rough sketches below:

Random person: Hey, Dark! What about the whole Neon play on words? I don’t get it.

Well thank you, Random Citizen! That’s cuz most of the acts are done in the dark! =) So Sun and Moon do not have a light sensitivity sensor. They just glow.

Haven’t had too much time to draw any full pieces, but here are some concept sketches. Again, some of it may or may not be part of the actual story. =) But they were fun to draw…

Pardon the messy sketches, they were all done on the same layer so I didn’t have time to properly clean them <333…

Some quick little dynamic pose practice:

Some scheming Jinns:

Some… lore? Maybe…? Thoughts were mostly: "The first binding was Sun" and "What does it mean to be a Djinn?"

More character sketches:

And there you have it— wait, hold up.

Hello! I don’t particularly have something to say but i just wanted to check on you. I hope you’re doing well!

Have a good day/night 😁

Thank you so much for checking in on me. <333

I'm currently going through some irl stuff that has been affecting my family for a couple of months now, but we are slowly recuperating and recovering. I appreciate your concern.

I'm still drawing my Bois when I get a chance, so you can definitely look forward to new art coming soon! <333333

Whooo… it’s been a while. Haven’t posted in a bit since I’m currently going through some irl medical stuff and won’t have too much time to draw as I’d like. But I’ll try to post a sketch or two when I can. =)

Anyways, I sketched some quick Arabian Knights Sun and Moon.

Sun smiles as he looks outside into the night sky after being trapped in his Jinni lamp for so long. Moon scowls at the light as it breaks through the foliage above him, interrupting his moment of rest.

*slips these in y'all's inbox*

The little board inspo thingy for this ↓

This took me an 1 hour and 43 minutes

Ngl, if I saw a plushy of the Boys I may actually explode with joy! I will need to be picked up off the floor and scraped off the walls!

This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing!!!

I LOVE DARK ART!! So wonderful! Creative!

And I’m giving your Suns and Moons a smooch on the cheek. They deserve smooches. With their consent of course.

Have this because you’re super cool.

ToT MOCHI!!! YOU ARE SO KIND, LOVELY!!! I wish I had an “I love Mochi" sticker available to spam you with!!! <33333333333

Also, those two goof balls would change color if you give them a smooch on the cheek! Right boys!?

Sun: I mean— if it’s a simple kiss on the cheek—as is custom to humans, I do not see any reason to opp—

Moon: *Flustered* It’s not proper! And against Jinn tradi—

*sigh* Guys, it's a simple smooch on the cheek! It's perfectly normal in many cultures to greet each other with cheek smooches. Sometimes with two!

Sun: Fine! =)

Moon: …Fine. =_=

HELLOO— I just wanted to say, I love your art! and I really love your au with sun and moon being Arabian Knights. <3

Also- here’s a flower for the Bela spotlumo. if he’ll accept it.

AAAAHHHHH! YOU ARE TOO SWEET! THANK YOU!!! Also, I’m so touched that you like my little AU. I’m pouring so much love into it, I’m happy to see others are enjoying it as well! <3333 Also, thank for the lovely sketch!!!

Moon: *looking at the flower and gently taking it* Umm… Danton.

^_^ In Jinn Culture, it is customary to accept all gifts given, lest you offend the gifter.

Moon: *pointing at the flower* I’M ACCEPTING IT! AM I NOT!?

And here’s this weekend’s Magma Session sketch! Yaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!

I may or may have not been a wee bit inspired Poppy Playtime >>…. I just thought… What if the Fnaf animatronics were being delivered to a new location, but due to a mistake in the system get sent to the Poppy Factory instead?

Also, as much as I dislike primary colors next to each other, I actually enjoyed the consistency and architectural design of the factory spaces, so I really wanted to draw some kind of background with them. =)

Ok, so I don’t know if you’ve had a change to read this wonderful story of Charm Brought it Back by @jackofallrabbits , @pure-plum , @cailaventog , @deliasmoothie , and @naffeclipse , but I finally did and lemme just say I LOVED IT! The storytelling, the artwork, the designs, the setup— it was all just so well done!!! I’m pretty sure I started reading it a night and basically finished in the wee hours of the morning (funnily enough, unintentionally matching the pacing of the story!)

But as usual, the story inspired me to doodle, there are so many scenes I wanted to sketch, the one that came to mind was the prologue. I loved the description for the boys!!! I know these sketches are more of my personal interpretations, but they were very inspired by the amazing story!

Rough doodle sketches under the cut. =)

Can moon and sun tell me what are the pros and the cons of being a jinni/djinn?

And which one is the strongest between them? In terms of strength? Magic? Other?

Sadly, for both of them, there are not really any Pros of being a Djinn or a Jinni. The Cons is that they are basically slaves. The Jinni might have a higher chance of being summoned more frequently, and they can at least sense the world around them. The Djinn are basically in isolation and only summoned for specific reasons.

As for strength, Sun and Moon were often evenly matched. But Jinnis tend to be more restricted in power than Djinns.
