BLOG UPDATE ✨

TLDR; I'm going to be moving away from character-specific fanfiction.

Instead, I'll be sharing more general reader-insert short fiction and blurbs (with tagged characters that I think fit best, but ultimately it's readers choice), as well as my published work and current wip's.

I'm also hoping to have more conversations about writing in general, and deep-dives in the fiction/characters we all love.

There will still be plenty of 18+ content, but it will likely look a little different than it does now as my style evolves.

I know many of you follow me for character-specific fics, and I hope you'll stick around for this pivot. But ultimately, this is the right direction for me and my creative process. I hope you all understand.

That being said, I WILL be finishing A Madness Most Discreet, and it's not unlikely that I'll still do a character-specific fic on occasion.

As far as requests go, I have closed them for now. But, eventually I hope to reopen them for more general prompts and I reserve the right to turn any existing character-specific requests into non-specific works.

I appreciate your support over the last few months, and I sincerely hope you'll continue to stick around. But, just know that I'm grateful for any amount of time you spent with me, whether it was one fic or twenty.

😭 this is literally so kind. thank you so much for being understanding.

I feel like I built something good here, and I've gotten a lot out of it (both emotionally and skill-wise), so I don't want to give that up. But I also want to be true to myself, and honor my own needs.

With this new direction, I can write whatever I want without feeling pressured to churn out content I'm not inspired by. And, you guys can take it wherever you want in your own mind. It's almost collaborative, your imagination working alongside mine, and I think that's kind of cool.

I agree! Fred is hard-headed and less empathetic. He wouldn't let that door open even an inch. He wrote her off as soon as her existence came to his attention, and that was the end of it.

But poor George is a bleeding heart, and just can't turn his nose up at someone without cause because he knows how shitty that feels. It doesn't help that he's a sucker for a confident, sharp-tongued woman, and loves a little rebellion. He didn't stand a chance 😂

omg alice i have a whole entire list that i'm about to drop. now here's the thing, some of my new favourites are currently in my drafts, so keep that in mind, but here are the ones i've posted.

also, there's a difference between my favourite ones and the ones where i was like damn i'm talented, so i'll just talk about the ones that made me go TALENT, otherwise the list would be way tooo long. i tried cutting myself off at 10, but i had a couple more too. (not in any specific order)

1- two sides one door - potter!reader is comforted by james after remus yells at her before the full moon (remus lupin)

2- never ending song - longest fic i've written, which i'm definitely proud of because i love the storyline and the way i've written the article bits. (sirius black)

3- the princess and her knight - i am SO PROUD of the fairytale themes i used in this even though i know it isn't perfect. (sirius black)

4- sewing kit - this is a short one, but i cherish it a lot! i think the atmosphere was really successfully created (ron weasley

5- words by the fireplace - fluffy moments with sleepy!james, what else could i ever want? (james potter)

6- love, mum and dad - this one makes me cry every single time and im just ridiculously proud of it (son!harry potter)

7- watch don't touch - i think this is the first piece of smut that i wrote where i sat back and thought 'shit, that was really good.' (bf!eddie munson, steve harrington)

8- creep - I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH AND I WAS SO UPSET THAT IT DIDNT GET HYPED UP BC IM JS SO PROUD OF IT. (steve, kind of eddie munson)

9- everybody knows that i'm a good girl officer - i liked the dynamic/relationship between hop/reader, and whenever i think of it, i'm just really proud of it. (hopper)

10- unregistered vehicle - these are the two only hop fics i've written and theyre both on this list. i think i just liked writing for an older love interest or character, and the fact that i was able to do it well makes me really proud of it (hopper)

11- age gap - atp i think it's jsut writing for older men that does it for me, but im also like damn i was able to write that! for the dynamic and the way i wrote it. (hotch)

12- boyfriends and mentors - sometimes i read fics where the writers are able to write smut but there's y/n's thoughts and emotions weaved in really nicely throughout the whole thing, and i feel like i was able to do that for this fic, which i'm really proud of. (bf!peter parker, tony stark)

if anyone needs me this week, I'll be digging with my grubby lil hands in this goldmine. you're so clever flipping this into a tag and I LOVE it.

so here are a few of the fics I'm proudest of (in no particular order) :

1. hit me where it hurts the most (sirius black) - I know i said 'in no particular order' but this one is prob my #1 favorite. I'm just really proud of how it came together, and i've been so grateful for the support it's received, not in terms of numbers, but connections. the ones that get it, get it. and I love that for us.

2. a christmas wish (george weasley) - i can't reread this one without crying. I feel like I captured the grief really authentically, and mixed it with the hallmark christmas vibes in a way that didn't cheapen it. george is such a sweetie pie, and getting to write him finding that carefree, childlike wonder again was so heartwarming.

3. 1000 tears (harry potter) - my shaylaaaa 😩 I adore angsty Harry, and getting to unpack some of his feelings (guilt, anger, resentment, etc) was really fulfilling. I'm also a sucker for a hurt/smut fic, and this one just hits the nail on the head. emotional & steamy?? sign me tf up

4. i hate it here (james potter) - this one was self-indulgent as hell, but idec. I absolutely love the dynamic between James and reader in this one, and the way I captured the depth of their growth and connection in only a few thousand words is something i'm proud of.

5. 1000 stitches (bill weasley) - honestly I just really like the descriptive language and pacing of this one, it feels almost like poetry to my ear. this felt like a turning point in my writing, like I was seeing growth in real time as I wrote and revised it, which is always rewarding.

6. a madness most discreet (george weasley) - ongoing. will likely be one of my all time faves (malfoy!reader I would die for you). the allusions to Shakespeare eat and I don't care if no one gets it but me.

7. flutterby baby (draco malfoy) - this fic is one of the reasons I write from the love interests pov so much (haters can choke idccc). there's something really magical about seeing yourself through the eyes of someone that adores you, and it isn't something we get in real life. I adore draco in this and the smut is one of my faves. bloody knuckles for the win.
