Some panels from a comic in (slow) progress! Hoping to print this in the second half of the year 🤞
My sofa came with some really boring cushions that I just chuck on the floor all the time because they’re rubbish to sit on, so I thought I’d make them a bit more interesting!
The design is inspired by my all time favourite episode of Crackpot podcast , which was about the apparent tendency of owls to show up in accounts of paranormal or extraterrestrial events. Owls are spooky 🛸
I’ve been playing about with needle felting on some of my way-too-extensive knitwear collection to get a bit more life out of some things I haven’t worn for a while. This fox turned out kind of on the chubby side because I got carried away with the wool, but I think that’s okay!
I’m not a natural crafter really, nobody has ever been able to teach me to knit or crochet or sew and embroidery makes me frustrated beyond belief - but needle felting is just repeatedly stabbing at wool and if you mess up you can fix it with more stabbing, so I think it might suit me? I’m going to try some more anyway and see how it works out.
Day 6 of #theydrawtober - garden tools 🪴
My garden accumulates trowels. I leave them sticking in the soil somewhere, they get consumed by nettles, I consider them lost forever and buy a new one, then the nettles die back and the trowel graveyard is revealed. They’ve usually developed their own ecosystem by that point so I leave them there in the ground! The garden will be more trowel than plant one day.
