Hi, my name is Aimée Maroux and I write sexy mythology fiction and non-fiction articles on ancient Greece. In this house we love ALL the gods. Mastodon | Website | Patreon
⚚ offering for Lord Hermes ⚚

FINALLY finished this only took me like forever.. but hey I can finally post something again !!

Lord Hermes is a god that's been really present in my life lately, which I'm extremely grateful for. He's been showing up around me and one of my now best friends has a really deep relationship with him , and I can't help but think he had his hands in it somehow <3 .

So I thought it's only fair to show my gratitude in the only way I can really do, by drawing something for him :3 I hope he likes it , you guys too of course!!

I also used this drawing as an opportunity to study Jean-Jacques Lagrenée 's painting titled " Mercury, Bearer of Abundance on Earth " :3

I like to think about Andromache thriving once she was free from Neoptolemus and that she had a great rest of her life. Carrying all her immense grief but still being strong enough to keep going until old age, having new kids (and then grandkids?) to take care of and people to love and live with.

I like to think that she and Helenos, who marries her in the version I know, soothe and support each other through the grief and trauma and survivor's guilt.

kinda gets me emotional thinking that in The Odyssey Book IV the first regret Helen has mentioned was leaving her child. Her child, her fidelity, then her husband. Important things Aphrodite took from her for sure (or things she took from herself if you interpret willing Helen), but Hermione first.

Contrasting that to the Iliad ten years prior where her first regret is the destruction of her fidelity, in extension her husband— then her kinsmen (the soldiers who were robbed of seeing their families and thus blamed her) then her favorite full grown child, and lastly her friends. It makes you think of how lonely Helen must’ve been, how stigmatized she was…

It makes you think that in the Odyssey Helen has reclaimed the hearts of her friends and her kinsman, and obviously reconciled with Menelaus: and still Hermione is the first on her mind. The one relationship she cannot fix, not with time, not with her only daughter far away with Neoptolemus. Helen knows this now, the way the old her never thought to, and that’s the tragedy.

February Newsletter: Hearts, Hearts Everywhere! 💕

Hello my lovelies,

I wrote in my goals for 2025 that I want to regularly post newsletters this year and lo and behold, this is the start!

Happy Valentine's Day and I hope you enjoy this curation of love-themed stories and articles. 🌹

Guide to your Athenian Wedding 💍

The ancient Greek "wedding season" was early in the year due to the anniversary of Zeus' and Hera's wedding on 27 Gamelion. In our calendar the month of Gamelion roughly lies between January and February due to following the moon phases rather than the sun. So it's the perfect time to learn how to throw a big, fat, ancient Greek wedding! Learn all about it here!

Greek Mythology's Sweetest Love Stories 🥰

I only published it two days ago but in case you missed it: I made a list of sweet, happy love stories from Greek mythology including happy gay couples. Did I include your fave? These are mine but what is your favourite love story in Greek myth?

Pre-order Punderworld 💸

@sigeel's pun-filled retelling of the story of Hades and Persephone goes into round 2 in September 2025. You can follow the comic's regular updates on webtoons and Tapas but it's well worth to own in "dead tree form" for the beautiful cover art alone. Pre-order Punderworld Volume 2 in print or e-book format at a discount and support an absolutely amazing indie creator!

Anthesteria 🌷

According to Hellenion's calendar, the Athenian Anthesteria festival in honour of Dionysos was this week. In antiquity it lasted three days, from the 11th to the 13th of the month of Anthesterion. A revival has been celebrated in Athens last weekend. The Anthesteria festival celebrates the beginning of Spring and in particular the maturing of the wine stored at the previous vintage, whose pithoi (storage-jars) were now ceremoniously opened. If you want a fun and entertaining introduction to the Anthesteria (with some brief strap-on action no less!), I highly recommend the comic Anthesteria by @a-gnosis. Follow her for regular updates of her most recent comic Queen of the Dead.

Girl On The Net Valentine's Dates 💏

If you have a special someone (lucky you!) and are looking for romantic date ideas to show them your love and celebrate your hots for one another, Girl On The Net has a dozen cute and sexy date ideas for you! Most of her ideas don't even cost a penny and focus on having fun and getting to know your partner even better. My personal favourites are the "taste test" and the "little joys bucket list". Seriously a whole list of great ideas! Check them out here.

Egyptian mythology Valentine's card 💌

My brilliant Egyptian mythology-loving illustrator @sinistersinita created a beautiful Valentine's card of the Egyptian god Seth last year for you to enjoy and download. Find it here!

Wanton Weekly Erotica Newsletter 📝

I have submitted two of my stories to the Wanton Weekly newsletter to see if I get any interest. The numbers are still out but I like the idea of a weekly newsletter with sexy stories, comics, and podcasts published in the past week. The format could be more reader-friendly in my opinion but check it out for yourself.

Latest Erotic Mythology Posts 🔥

Migrated Posts: These are not new but now available on the website too instead of just Patreon.

Non-Fiction: Apollon and Branchos Introducing the real life myth of how Apollon and Branchos kissed in the woods and then they were boyfriends.

Non-Fiction: Apollon's Prophetic Children and Lovers The most famous and renowned seers in Greek mythology are either Apollon's children or lovers.

Upcoming: Even more lesfic in form of a sapphic Klytaimnestra / Erinyes foursome and a bit of fairytale magic with the second part of Nuts for the Cindermaid. Latest prompt ahead in the polls is Loki masturbating with Thor's hammer (not a euphemism), so look out for that too!

May Queen Hera smile upon your relationship and Golden Aphrodite add the needed spice. 💖

Love, Aimée

every time I do a web search, right at the top I have AI info dumping on me

just give me the top result please

Swear in your search request. I know it sounds ridiculous, but the most effective way I've found of it not doing the AI summary is just to add "fucking" go my search.

Holy shit

You're welcome! I can't claim credit to have come up with it, but very happy to spread it around 😄

AHH!! Quickly!! The artefacts have escaped the museum!! 😘😘 This video is adorable :D

These ladies are wearing Tang Dynasty hanfu, the famous "golden age" of Chinese history. Artefacts show that aesthetics during this dynasty favored fuller shaped women, if you've ever seen the figures from the museums these ladies look like exact replicas :D

This is gorgeous. Paintings and figurines are helpful but seeing the clothes being worn and IN THE SUNSHINE!!

The fabric is glorious and you see the drape of the cloth during movement.

Fine, I think every museum needs a team of people to walk around wearing replicas of clothes. This would be amazing for kids on school trips.

I mean Every museum, too!
