The whole anti trans talking point about saving women's sports for #feminism is crazy to me, it's so obvious none of these people know the history of women's sports. They literally exist because men felt upset and emasculated when women would beat them in co-ed sports. So women were banned from sports and only allowed to participate in their own sectioned off teams and events. Upholding that isn't all that feminist honestly.

The physical ability of athletes is not as dependent on sex traits as anyone in these discussions thinks it is, men are just encouraged to participate in sports far more so than women are. Many decades ago, male athletes did not perform nearly as good as the ones competing today; to the point your average modern professional female athlete could blow their numbers out of the water. Were these men just "biologically inferior"? No, that's stupid. They just weren't training the same way. The nature of professional sports is to Do Better Than The Last Guy. So yeah obviously, modern athletes that beat these records are going to be more physically capable than the ones of decades & centuries past. Female athletes are the same way, women have just been at this professional sports thing for much less time in comparison to men, and in smaller numbers, due to differing social pressures.

And every "biological advantage" that can be attributed to biological differences linked to sex traits shouldn't be considered differently from "biological advantages" between people with similar sex traits. Michael Phelps definitely has a biological advantage over other men but nobody's pissed off about him succeeding. The point of professional sports like this is to see what the human body is capable of. I dunno how to tell this to TERFs but sports are inherently unfair because of that. Some people just got lucky genetics and have crazy potential to be good at physically intensive activities, regardless of their sex traits.

It is not trans & intersex people's fault TERFs view being strong and fast and fit as inherently unfeminine.

Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb is intersex-coded! In his source it's been shown he can both sweat milk and has venomous spurs on his heels, which are traits associated with female & male platypuses respectively.

Requested by @saros-system

this trans day of visibility, i want to highlight and celebrate intersex trans people.

society ignores intersex trans people and tries to erase this overlap. and also ignores complex intersex experiences around gender. society denies our intersexuality, or our transness, or both. even in queer circles we are often seen as "basically cis" or "basically trans" or "intersex aka own separate species that can have nothing in common with other queer people."

intersex trans people are often denied gender affirming care. intersex trans people get their bodily autonomy attacked both as intersex and trans. even in trans accepting circles like gender clinics, we often face ignorance and incompetence.

people feel entitled to know and question our anatomy, physiology, transition goals, identities — everything about us.

our bodies belong to us. our identities belong to us. our experiences belong to us.

we deserve bodily autonomy. we deserve representation. we deserve recognition. we deserve celebration. we deserve pride.

intersex trans people, i love you.

Punk band UK Subs were detained upon entering the US and kept locked up for 24 hours with little to eat or drink and no sleep before being sent back to London.

They had the correct paperwork for their visit.

Basically don't bother going to the US folks, waste of your time and money.

the way how you losers use second hand dysphoria as an excuse to genuinely be nasty over other trans people and their autonomy is disgusting and it's something you gotta suck up and learn to not do. you cannot act like everything and everyone should accommodate your comfortability because that's a slippery slope into reactionary thinking and also I'm sure other people don't like being told their bodies make you feel bad. grow up.

It can also be insanely intersexist too. Ex, insisting that an intersex man's body makes you dysphoric because "that's not what a man's body is supposed to look like" is the same logic behind the practice of mutilating us. Second-hand dysphoria is almost entirely a form of internalized bigotry and I will absolutely die on that hill. You need to fix it if you act this way about fellow queer people.

People starving when tons of unsold food is thrown away globally because people couldn’t afford to purchase the food, that’s violence.

People dying and going bankrupt to pay for their healthcare, that’s violence.

People being evicted from their homes when there are more houses than there are houseless people, that’s violence.

this might be a controversial take, but I don't think "trans women need more help than trans men" right now.

we are ALL being targeted, just bc trans women are more visible doesn't mean trans men/mascs aren't fucking suffering too.

forced pregnancy.

corrective rape.

Familial & partner abuse

50% of trans mascs have been sexually assaulted.

"T slur voice"

"confused girls"

the problem isn't just about trans women, yall need to open your fucking eyes and see we (trans men/mascs) as a community are hurting!

ETA: I'm not ignoring what trans women go through, so don't even try that.

Some disabled people cant consent due to their disability

Some disabled people cant work due to their disability

Some disabled people cant get an education due to their disability

Some disabled people cant think in language due to their disability

Some disabled people cant show emotions due to their disability

Some disabled people cant have empathy due to their disability

Some disabled people cant drive due to their disability

Some disabled people cant live alone due to their disability

Some disabled people cant be normal and just like non disabled people due to their disability, hence the disability

No its not liberating or a hot take to deny disabled people cant do certain things your just erasing people who have undesirable traits

People saying that trans men are so dramatic and we don’t need a word for our oppression and it’s not that bad and blah blah blah meanwhile this is the behavior becoming more normalized and the treatment we get on a regular basis:
