They are! I think it might count as auto cannibalism whenever leshy eats his tail-berries, and auto cannibalism is awesome and all but it's more entertaining to save the berries for their intended purpose: luring more substantial food closer to him. The thrill of the hunt outweighs sitting at a dumb dining table and being fed whatever his high priests cook for him, so you might catch him outside pulling this stunt when he's bored + hungry

I think many a follower have tried to come up to him and try this, but the death worm instinct probably results in them getting eaten too, so...you might want to ask him before trying the forbidden leshy fruit

thinking about when I was working on a bishop dating sim, and you could tell you were on the right path with heket if you made her ribbit after selecting a dialogue option.....that project will never get done but I still like the idea!

ALSO you will be pleased to learn that after drawing the heket hooters image, I decided I wanted to draw a pinup for the first time in like over a year, and OFC HEKET WAS MY MUSE. My butch4butch heart yearned for big frog ladies I guess. No clue when/if I'm ever gonna finish this but I will ALWAYS take an excuse to post heket art....I feel like she's the most underappreciated bishop.

I was gonna go off about her doomed yuri love life, but maybe the description of a drawing of her at Cult Hooter's isn't the place. All I'll say is she hasn't married in 1000 years after her last wives inevitably died, but after indoctrination she gives it another shot! I posted some panels from a comic about this but idk if I'll ever finish it

I made this the same day you sent this, but whenever I draw something questionable in nature I'm always like "I can't post this. But it's funny....but I can't post this" and it takes a while for me to get around to putting it up. That's maybe the funniest way I've heard of someone showing somebody else my art???? I feel like I have the least smashable bishops because I draw them like goofy, anatomically incorrect cartoons, so that cracked me up when I first saw it

Shamura is like...the literal god of wisdom but their biggest weak point is understanding other people, so witness allocer is the one that has to help them interpret certain comments. And also prevent them from piledriving anybody who tries to flirt with them, because they perceive everything as an invitation to spar :')

I made the shamura stamp card thing as a joke that wouldn't get brought up again, and I was not expecting asks in the double digits about it??? I'm challenging myself to draw most if not all of them because there's some good shit in there (WHY DID SOMEONE REQUEST TO BE THROWN ACROSS THE ENTIRE LANDS OF THE OLD FAITH. That was my favorite I think, I drew it right away) but this is gonna take 5ever cause I don't like posting unrefined sketches. Honestly it's a nice break from angst so I have no issues with this, plus like I said I'm kinda between jobs rn so I don't got shit to do....

...but I definitely am gonna have to cap it at a certain point so I think I'll stop accepting new ones by tomorrow morning. I don't think I'll close my ask box, but this is the heads up that I won't be doing these anymore after this comic gets done (it's at 10 panels rn and I still have many more in the inbox...)

I have considered it! I actually have tabled at several art shows and sold stuff like zines, stickers, patches and buttons, but I did that for yeaaaaars and eventually stopped cause I only was making art to sell. I do remember those years fondly though! It's been about a year and a half since I stopped making those, if the demand is there maybe I could bust out my old stuff and start it up again?? I haven't posted pics but I've made myself cotl keychains, toys, buttons, block prints, am working on printing out comics for myself, and have done oil pastels on canvas, I just am totally unsure how to price any of it/if it's good enough to sell to begin with.

I'll definitely do more research on this because I'm currently unemployed and while I won't get into it, it's...NOT GREAT OVER HERE so some form of income would be very helpful. But I am intrigued to know which specific drawings you were referring to for the stickers + keychains?

Of course! Just like don't chew with your mouth open, smack your lips, or make literally any noise while eating, and you'll be fine. I like to think shamura kind of *has* to be good at cooking by this point, having raised 4 other gods, but even in one of my very first comics they REFUSE to eat at the table because sharing a meal with 4 little eldritch demons would be sensory hell.

IT APPEARS TO BE TWO FULL STAMP CARDS! This is one of the less popular options in the war cult, but clearly it's the one shamura is the most passionate about, so I think you made their day tbh.

I haven't gotten to go to college yet, but entomology is maybe my longest-running special interest, so writing out a block of text about tarantulas was not nearly as hard for me as drawing this MF's crossed legs. I feel like shamura has a LOT of niche interests due to their age/scholarly nature, but animal husbandry is the first one I settled on, so...I hope you like tarantulas??//?/?

I FORGOT TO POST THIS!!! Turns out shamura hugs are in high demand so the bar is pretty high, but still achievable.

I like to think that the stamp cards aren't limited to just hugs/pets and chess games, but you can also request things like "listening to shamura ramble about a special interest for 30 minutes" or "handing your busted fiber arts project over to them and having them fix it for you/explain what went wrong".

I mean....you could also sic the literal god of war on your enemies or use their psychic demon powers for evil cult shit, but that seems like a waste of a filled-up Bishop Shamura's Rewards Program(tm) Stamp Card tbh

I definitely make the bishops act a bit different in ask responses cause I would feel SO BAD making them be as mean to people as they are to their followers, but yeah no that's completely 100% heket. She's gotten compliments in asks + was asked on a date and pretty much acted the exact same way. She feels happiest when she's feared and thought of as a mean bitch, but becomes a mess the second somebody seems to like her. I have a draft where I go more into detail about her love life, but it's also got a drawing of her at hooters and I am terrified of posting it lmfao

As for the nudity thing, she has no reason to care if anyone sees her without her robes cause they clearly aren't covering up anything anyway; I just think it's funny seeing her without her cloak in the same way a dog looks "naked" when you take their collar off. It's like WHOA. PUT ON SOME CLOTHES, GUY but it's literally just a dog.

I have a comic idea I really want to work on to get through some Feelings but I can't settle on who I want to be the other character talking to the lamb. And I didn't want to just use a random follower or side character, because it's a personal moment and idk if the lamb wants to cry on-screen for the first time around like. Plimbo or something LMAO

TO BE FAIR some of these are from a couple months ago like the kallamar + heket comic. I pretty much always have a big comic in progress no matter what, but after my hiatus I've got a backlog to post while I finish up new projects. ALSO I have the font of autism that makes me want to just do the same thing like all day every day so that definitely speeds up the process.....comics take fucking forever but it's the thing I like doing the most rn so I'm having a good time! Sometimes my focus changes from comics to a different activity, and we get periods like the time I made around a dozen COTL plushies because I physically could not do anything else. I should post them sometime because my entire bed is just covered in kallamars at this point.

I actually just finished up work on the leshy comic I posted about a while ago, I'm torn between "I want to wait til next week to post it so I don't blow through my entire comic backlog within a month" and "THIS TOOK FOREVER I WANT TO JUST POST IT NOW" so it might be up soon, might not be, idk! If it's not up today it'll be up next friday-sunday for sure

Thank you so much, I unfortunately can't reliably respond to all asks but I see this one!! Your english is perfectly understandable btw, don't worry about it! I'm really happy my art can resonate with you like that, I think I said recently that if I had an "end goal" when it came to drawing, it'd have to be to make people Feel Things. Mostly sad things apparently. But any time I hear that somebody was moved by an angst comic or even just laughed at a shitpost, I feel content with the sheer amount of time I spend drawing these same four idiots over and over.

I appreciate you wishing me well, things are rough but that's what drawing sad stuff is for! I'm not sure if it'll get better but the hyperfixation on cotl is still going strong, so I'm still filled with joy and whimsy when I gaze upon these cartoon cult leaders <3

The LORE reason is that during the schism, he was mid eldritch transformation when he was sealed in purgatory, and just kinda got stuck like that. I have alternate designs for the bishops' eldritch transformations that I've never posted but they don't 100% follow the ones from the games, so my narinder turns into a skinned serpent/dragon thing when he's eldritch? So the SECOND those chains are broken, he's gonna finally continue his transformation into an affront against god....but any other time, he's just a relatively normal guy

The REAL ORIGINAL reason is up for debate because my memory is atrocious, but I struggled when I drew him for the very first time because I thought he was kinda boring in my art style. Tried to spice up his shape language using his weird bendy proportions when he leans down to talk to you in the game. I ended up with a pool noodle looking guy and THAT'S the thing that made me actually want to draw him. I don't dislike him, I think he's a fascinating and tragic character, but he is on a technical level my least favorite in the pantheon so if I didn't give him a design that was fun to draw, he'd just kinda continue rotting in purgatory 5ever. The lore reason was definitely secondary to my enjoyment of just drawing a long ugly cat :')

I have a ref sheet in progress of him and he was so long I couldn't fit him into the canvas, so here he is trying to escape containment
