Get to know Hashem's family

My name is Hashem from Gaza. I am 32 years old and my wife, Samar, is 27 years old. We have a child born in the eighth month of pregnancy. His mother was premature because of my wife's fear of war. My large family consists of 8 members: my father, mother, four male brothers and 2 females. My father died in the war due to a lack of medicine in hospitals as a result of the fierce war on Gaza.

My story began when we were displaced from our home in northern Gaza in mid-October 2023 after a letter threatening eviction, and then the house was targeted and destroyed. Between this Exodus and the current fifth Exodus there are many stories and sufferings.

We now live in plastic tents, which are thermal ovens, which are not suitable for living and do not provide the minimum necessities of life, in addition to the spread of epidemics and diseases, which puts our lives in danger.

Through this campaign, we are trying to collect enough money to meet our needs and get us out of the Gaza Strip safely. We ask you to stand by us and protect us from this severe danger.

One thing that's kinda sad is that there was probably a way to "break the arena" without it being edited down.

We know one of the biggest dangers to the Capitol is solidarity between districts. If the adults around them being rebellious told Haymitch and Ampert from the beginning to stuck it out with the Newcomers and they followed up with their plan to protect each other and wait for the mutts to kill them instead of killing each other they would have destroyed the principle of the Hunger Games. This is the tributes saying no we won't kill each other, do it yourself. We are not the animals you think we are and you are murdering us and you can't make our death an entertainment.

And Haymitch gets it by the end with Wellie, right ? Before he is consumed by rage because she gets killed in the worst way possible.

Saving someone else, making sure someone else is the victor or giving them no victors is the ultimate form of rebellion when everything else fail.

Also it's very much how they win against the Capitol in Mockingjay, by uniting the districts against it (but this time... It must include all of them).

I feel like this need to be said. You are allowed to be entertained by the hunger games books. Yes Collins is writing a very political text with parallels to the real world. Also, this is a fiction and it was written for entertainment too or we wouldn't read it. Those two ideas can co-exist.

You can like the romance and laugh when someone is being funny, or when Snow is a complete loser podcast bro. You can listen to Lucy Gray's songs a lot and You can like the fashion and you also can cry with the characters and like the action of the hunger games. All of this are entertaining.

Also, I don't really want more Hunger Games books after Sunrise (although if she midnight sun it 👀) I'm satisfied, that said I think the idea that you are like the capitol if you want to see more Game is kinda weird considering they are fictional.

tim remembers dick because of the tragedy, yes, but also because they met first. dick was kind to him, and dick was probably kind to all little kids in that same way, but to tim it was memorable. to tim that little kindness was everything. tim loved him from then on, and for six more years until he found out dick was robin even, just because of that small kindness. dick’s efforts will never be in vain. every small kindness he shows has an impact.

Can we talk about how good of a villain Snow is ?

And How Suzanne Collins managed to tow the line between pathetic little fucker who cannot help but projecting himself onto teenage boys and hating teenage girls who reminds him of a relationship that ended 40 to 64 years ago because of him and the ruthless dictator who is willing and able to commit so many atrocities against everyone while giving him some backstory so that he isn't too cartoonish or too sympathetic.
