You ever read a fic that just...feels like it was written for you specifically? It's from your favorite fandom. Has all your favorite tropes. Your favorite characters. The plot feels like it was ripped straight out of your fondest daydreams.
Well, over a decade ago, that fic for me was Home With The Fairies by @i-mushi. I love this fic. I still re-read it every couple years. It is my ultimate comfort fic. It brings me the kind of joy few other stories do.
But I also love it, not just for its wonderful story, but because it's how I met my oldest fandom friend, i-mushi. I don't wanna get too mushy here but you should just know that she's a great friend and a fantastic writer and when she recently asked me to make a new cover for my favorite fic of hers I, of course, spent that whole weekend working on one for her. I'm not much of an environmental artist, but I did my best just for her. ♥️

Hey guys, I know this is not the kind of update anyone wants to see but I feel like it’s better this than dropping off the face of the earth with no warning.
First things first, I’m stepping back from the fandom.
This is likely only temporary. I might be back in a month. I might be back in a year. But I’ve just had to come to terms with the fact that I am no longer having fun here. Much of this is due to fandom drama going on behind the scenes which has unfortunately been going on for a while.
Now, let me be clear, this isn’t a call out post. I will not being going into the specifics of why I no longer feel welcome here, nor will I be naming names. I think the people who are enjoying themselves should be able to continue doing so without getting caught up in petty fandom drama. Everyone is here to have fun. I just personally am not having fun anymore so I’m removing myself from the space affecting my mental health.
I will still be completing my contribution to the gift exchange because it’s something I committed to before all of this went down, but all other projects and fics will unfortunately be going on hiatus.
I’m grateful to all of the friends I made here. Thanks so much to everyone who has been so kind and supportive this past year. You guys were why I stayed.
Hopefully we’ll all see each other again soon.
