Hello everyone! We're pleased to announce the schedule for the Dragon Age Big Bang 2025!

I had no idea the community was doing an Anders week when I posted my last drawing, so I put some ✨real effort✨ into a second drawing. It was supposed to be for the “light in the darkness” prompt, but I ended up spending 8 hours on the details and missed that prompt’s day. Oh well. Got some great practice out of it :-)

The hanged man understands that his position is a sacrifice that he needed to make in order to progress forward [...] His upside down state can also symbolize the feeling of those that walk a spiritual path, for they see the world differently. Where there are others that do not understand the need to sacrifice, you see it differently.

Finally, and only after whining like a baby for almost an entire week, I posted my work for the Anders Week on ao3! Just in time for the last day of prompts (Justice/Martyrdom/Greater Good).

This is my first time writing for the DA fandom so huhhhh I'm sorry, I tried my best despite everything.

I won't lie, I feel like this is the roughest of the prompts I worked with. Hopefully the idea comes across. Small trigger warning for some suicidal idealization, but I feel like that's expected with a prompt like this.

After the Joining

I often think about how Anders must've felt after being conscripted into the Grey Wardens. Free from the Circle, yes, but not really free. No wonder he ran away.

Ok so I don’t think I can do today either, for Anders Week art. Sorry yall. I am a bit burnt out art wise. I do think I’ll come back to this eventually, cause I just adore Anders. However, I will do this instead for the time being.

A fic recommendation, and that is the fic that his been influencing all of my artworks so far.

Accursed Ones, a fanfic series in which the hulk is in Anders perspective. To be clear, it is a heavy story with many possible triggers, especially later on. It is incredibly dark at times, I once cried for thirty chapters straight, at times it made me sick to my stomach, I had to put it down for a month to recover (these are all very high praise).

But the author shows an incredible understanding and love for the lore and depth of the Dragon Age setting, and a love for Anders, with all of his flaws. It also lets him be a blood mage, huge win!

It is truly one of the best fics I’ve ever read, possibly even the best.

Desperate to get SOMETHING up for @andersweek2025 before the week ends, so here's some colours slapped on a half-clean sketch. I like the effect though! It's like he's battling through confusion and finding clarity.
