I honestly need someone to draw Rody and Eliseo as father and son-

I’m pretty sure Elíseo would be concerned over Rody at first (due to him having having somewhat similarities with his father) and semi-avoids him. But as time passes by, their bond improves.

Elio’s parents were high school sweethearts and the creators’ of a hit television show “the prince’s journey” (where it features all the antagonists from the book).

On the outside, they seemed like a perfect couple, but in reality…it was the complete opposite of that.

Isaiah (Elio’s father) was a bit too…DEVOTED to Alicia (Elio’s mother) ever since she “saved” him.

In other words, he placed her on a pedestal…Believing himself to be below her, and was nothing without her.

And she didn’t want that.

She did not want to be the only thing worth living for his life or even BE the reason he does shit (good or bad)…It reminded her TOO much of her childhood.

She would always tell him to prioritize his health first, but he would dismiss it every time it was brought up.

However, they did try to make things work! It was all going great until one night…

A happy Alicia was going to tell him that she was pregnant with Eliseo (They wanted to be parents for a while), But later found Isaiah breaking down in the kitchen with a…bloody boxcutter, empty beer bottles, and a broken piggy bank.

The reason why Isaiah was cutting himself, was because he felt worthless after he didn’t get a raise from his work place…Therefore, punishing himself for it.

They got into a HUGE argument and Isaiah was IMMEDIATELY taken to the emergency room after blacking out from alcoholism and blood loss.

And that’s when Alicia knew she HAD to end the relationship (They were still boyfriend and girlfriend at the time, and Isaiah was planning to propose until he received the notification that he wasn’t getting a raise.)

After they returned from the emergency room, Isaiah got on his knees and apologized like CRAZY! Saying that he wasn’t in a good state of mind, that he was sorry for scaring her, and promised he’ll do BETTER.

But Alicia couldn’t take it anymore… She already heard those lies over and over again.

So that’s when she told him that they were through.

(She didn’t tell him she was pregnant until 4 years later.)
