i lowkey hate Jinx’s characterisation in s2. she was a completely different person in s1, and you’re telling me all her changes happened in such a short time because of some random kid and 2x speed reconnecting with her inner child bullshit? after she literally chose to metaphorically kill that inner child at the end of s1?? not to mention the absolute absurdity of Zaun collectively siding with her after she nuked the council. as if absolutely nobody (except the obvious Bad GuysTM) thought that maybe handing Jinx over could stop Piltover from gassing and harassing them. bruh.

but actually, my biggest issue rn is how forced timebomb feels because of that. look, i’ve always been a massive Ekko stan and i’ve rewatched the time bomb scene from s1 more times than i can count and i think these two have mind-blowing chemistry. but seeing s2 brush over all that tension between Jinx and Ekko only to make Ekko a brainless fool crushing on the pathetically tragic version of Jinx (who conveniently hasn’t done anything horrific on-screen in s2, so that we can forget her s1 crimes) is soooo disappointing. i want to enjoy timebomb like i did in s1, but what it has turned into feels so rushed and empty

in my experience "racist lightcannon" is a myth. Every time I've looked into it it's either garden variety Twitter trolls play-acting interest in the ship and jumping in on a ship war they don't care about or it's a false flag operation by the post-s2 crowd.

I'm in every major LC community and there is negative Ekko hate. We may not feel comfortable with the ship or how Arcane handled it but our biggest problem with it is the fandom behavior, definitely not the character. LC authors often write him better than the S2-NuBombs because they actually care about his character outside the ship. I have never met a genuine Lightcannon fan who doesn't f'cking love Ekko.

Similarly i have never met a genuine Timebomb fan who flat out hates Lux or is homophobic. Prior to s2 the two shipping communities mostly got along or had a friendly rivalry, it's only since s2 that we've got people screaming "CANON" at each other and invading each other's spaces.

Ship wars attract trolls, attention whores and shit-stirrers in every fandom. Same pattern happens everywhere else. Don't fall for it.

If you really think Mel and Jayce didn't break up in that scene, I fear it is really due to a lack of literacy, because there is any other reason, narratively, for that scene to be there if not to close their stories and romance and part their arcs. This goes even beyond shipping, it's how narrative and storytelling works lol

I know that Isha was created in a lab to make Jinx sympathetic and magically cure her mental illness. And the show itself treats her as a prop before discarding her to make way for the shipping. But I don't care, she and her interactions with Jinx are adorable. I'd trade out so many subplots in S2 for an episode where Jinx takes her to build-a-poro or some shit. I'm not immune.

No matter what the haters say it is literally canon that -

Caitvi are together, the main couple of Arcane, had many scenes, hints, and buildup in both seasons, the series ENDS with Caitvi + airship.

Timebomb are together in an AU universe, Ekko loves/cares deeply for Jinx despite all the shit and harm she had done to Zaun, to Ekko and to the firelights, Ekko gives Jinx a second chance. Ekko saves Jinx from suicide. Ekko and Jinx team up. Ekko misses Jinx/Powder during the ending. The artbook is filled with Timebomb hints and hints that Jinx also has feelings for Ekko. Ekko loves Jinx, we don’t canonically know if Jinx loves him. They have an enemies to lovers music video and song from an extremely famous artist.

JayVik may not be canonically a couple , but they care deeply for each other and love each other which is shown in both seasons. There is a butterfly pattern and butterflies connecting them in many scenes in the story. Viktor saves Jayce from suicide even when they are strangers, Jayce saves Viktor from suicide. Jayce forgets everyone and everything exists when he sees Viktor in danger or injured. Despite Viktor becoming a bad person, a villain and trying to harm Jayce, Jayce choses to overlook that and still wants his partner back. Jayce decides to stay with Viktor so they die together. An older Viktor can fully grasp life is pointless without Jayce. They die holding each other.

No amount of screeching from haters can take away these things from fans. The My favorite enemy music video is online and never disappearing, so is the artbook, so is the show Arcane, even if they somehow retcon everything in the future, the old stuff exists.

Who was also treated like garbage by her mother.
