She/her; no NSFW/inappropriate comments (I'm on the younger half of Gen Z is all I'll say); I am careful about who I talk to for safety reasons so no private messages please. I do try to follow back though. I like musical theatre, animals, books (classics and YA mostly), and drawing. Vive la France!

Pretty much a list of all of my fandoms, main obsessions at the top.

-LES MISÉRABLES (love of my life) (book, 2012 movie, musical, pretty much anything lol) (My favorite characters are Eponine, Grantaire, Enjolras, Cosette, and Gavroche) (I will never shut up about this)

-Great Gatsby (book, musical, 2013 movie) (today's the DAY!)

Next: musicals (other than Les Mis and Gatsby): SIX (we're one of a kind, no category), Mamma Mia, Greatest Showman, and Chicago (he had it comin'!)

Some books are Warrior cats, Hunger Games, Song of Achilles, Riordanverse, Secret Shanghai series, and some other YA fantasy. I also enjoy classics, mostly the dark/murdery ones or the gay ones (see my top favs lol)

My main side blog is @the-miserable-polls, where I post polls about Les Mis! I also have @drunken-skeptic1248, a Les Mis roleplay blog, and @wise-girl1248 and @thalia-grace1248 (PJO roleplay blogs).

I repost Les Mis stuff to Pinterest at @ drinkwithmetodaysgoneby, tell me if you don't want your things on there. Not trying to steal, I'm just adding content (that's not 10 years old) for the Pinterest people 😂

That's all I can think of for now!

Congratulations, Les Mis Letters readers, on surviving to the end of the Waterloo Digression! You made it through the battle!

AFFIRMATIONS: You did not die in the sunken road of Ohain! You did not die by English bullets! You are free! Today, we return to the funky little fictional characters!

(For those who aren't aware: Les Mis has 365 chapters, and Les Mis Letters is an email subscription readalong that sends you one chapter a day for a year. Learn more, subscribe, and join our Discord server in our pinned post!)

Well I just watched Les Mis 1998 for the first time

I can confidently give it a 2/10—only gets that one point because of Cosette threatening Javert with a gun

I literally can't give it any higher a score because like how can you mess up the characterization so badly?? People hate on the 2012 movie but at least it's not this inaccurate.

-Jean Valjean SLAMMING Javert into the wall, hitting Cosette and the bishop

-Valjean skipping away like "lah dee dah 😌" after watching Javert die, THEN IT JUST ENDS??

-Marius being the leader of the rebellion and Enjolras acting more like Grantaire than Grantaire does

-the complete erasure of Eponine (that is TOTALLY unforgivable)

-the whole thing with Courfeyrac betraying the students plus Marius and Cosette, and with Javert showing up, Valjean reveals that he's an ex convict to Cosette, etc. That whole mess.

-Valjean in love with Fantine?

-the whole rebellion thing is like 5 minutes total (imo it just spent way too much time on the first 300 pages worth of the brick, leaving the remaining 1,000+ pages to the last hour or so)

And yeah I know there have been discussions about it before but it's just so hilariously inaccurate that I had to post 😂😭

give a grossly oversimplified summary of one of your favorite musicals. i'll go first.

they raise the price for a piece of paper and everyone's pissed about it.

  1. A combo of English pain and French pain feat. some old men, teenage girls, and gay frat boys
  2. Ladies argue about their shared ex then they form a girl band together
  3. A rich guy is a little too obsessed with his married ex girlfriend and several people die as a result.
  4. Lady kills her side guy, goes to jail, and becomes a showgirl.
  5. Circus
  6. Girl's mom hooked up with too many guys so they sing ABBA songs.
  7. Enemies to lovers but it's the regency era and it's pretty much just people going to each others houses
  8. Come for a haircut, end up as dinner. Not AT dinner. You're the pie.
