As I can’t fit everything into my description box, let’s have a post!

I’m an adult, Australian, autistic, agender, allosexual (abrosexual) aromantic (nebularomantic/arovague and idemromantic). The gods cursed me with mental illnesses, coeliac disease, dermatitis and chronic hand, wrist, shoulder and back pain ... leaving me with an equally-chronic spoon shortage. I make simple stock images for as many shades of the aromantic umbrella as possible, I sew and design cross-stitch pride patches, and I write flash fiction, short fiction and essays while sighing at the novel projects my chronic pain made me surrender. Lastly, I consider myself a loveless aro and have written an essay about that.

If you want to help me survive capitalism as a disabled aro creator, please follow my pointing hands to Patreon and Ko-fi. Patrons get early access to stories, essay posts, images and patterns, as well as a few exclusive stories.

Aro Arrows is an archive of free to use aromantic-spectrum stock images intended for websites, flyers and publications, including:

I’ve also started an archive category for high-res versions of aromantic pride flags. All flags here are 5000 x 3000, 300 PPI images with links to the original announcement post/flag creator.

People should keep in mind that this is a work in progress and is in want of updating with more recent content. It is, however, somewhere folks can begin to find allo-aro-authored information, discussions and community.

Current pages include:

The main hub page also includes links to playlists, other folks’ essays and media posts.

I have a tutorial series for making cross stitch pride patches, ranging from simple square flag designs to text, arrow, ace of spades and heart shapes! If you’re a beginner in hand sewing or embroidery, I recommend starting from the first tutorial and working your way through in order as listed here.

Folks can find my many patterns (including other queer and LGBTQIA+ patterns) archived in my patch pattern gallery.

Most of my fiction is free for anyone to read, even on Patreon!

Folks who are interested in shorter, stand-alone aromantic stories may enjoy:

Folks who want a longer, interconnected series of fantasy short stories and novelettes that aren’t just about aromanticism may enjoy:

Folks who want collections of aromantic stories may enjoy:

Folks who want allosexual and non-asexual aromantic protagonists may enjoy:

From a distance, I hear the emptying of a quiver as a shiver runs down a spine with the gentlest of brushes. I hear the wedding bells ring, and as the sallies swing, the dread forms a knot in the back of my throat, and I try my best to swallow it down.

My Achilles heel only hurts me, and the liberty bell is a replica, so Cupid doesn’t shoot me: would marriage be a sham? For all its worth, misery to mirth, I am told my love isn’t quite enough.

When grief for a life I could never have leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, the whisper of the word “adoration” always rests gently on the tip of my tongue. Regardless of a kiss, I know my love lies where my heart aches in the midst of a relaxed fist, drawing stars into your palm, so I’ll know that I’m safe again. I may not fall in love, but I love life for the honor of missing home.

Posting the flag backgrounds from Peebcrew by themselves

in order, Aro spec, Aromantic , Apothiromantic, Aegoromantic, Caedromantic, Greyromantic, Nebularomantic, Frayromantic, Demiromantic, Amoraromantic, Aroflux, AlloAro, Aromid, Non-SAM Aro

I feel like it's a good time to remind the world that I have a post collecting all my stories (complete and ongoing) with protagonists who are both aromantic and trans.

Please expect: fantasy, fairy tales, occasional forays into contemporary settings and use of neopronouns ... plus authorial obsessions with amatonormativity, witches, vegetables and mugs.

Last month, I made a tutorial and charts for a bunch of aro-themed cross-stitch bookmarks--including designs for the words "loses" and "nope" set in descending upside-down hearts.

Today's post expands on this with heart bookmark blanks and a complete alphabet designed for inserting inside said hearts. Plus a few more cross-stitch patch patterns!

The hearts on the bookmarks will work for three, four, five, six, nine and ten-stripe horizontal pride flags, while the text will work for five or ten-stripe pride flags.

The alphabet can also be inserted inside many of my heart and ace of spades patch motifs--or used by itself for any kind of cross-stitched custom text.

[ID: Lineless art of a landscape. There are dark mountains foregrounded with green pine trees and a lake. The sky is grey and there are white rocks in front of the trees. Second image is identical except for a very small helicopter over the mountains]

working my way through the subtle pride art, gonna see if I can’t get all of them done by the end of the week at the latest. This one is aromatic colors, I got a request to include a helicopter but I’m not very good at drawing things like that, tried my best

feel free to fill out this form if you’d like to make your own request

“It’s the most incredible thing!”

Indescribable, romantic love and its idealizations swirls into my orange sorbet leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. There is something about how I love that’s “indescribably” inferior. Even if we dance under the same moonlight with the same melody, I do not deserve to express the same stars in my eyes and my hum of content because the goosebumps on my arms are from the gentle breeze instead of the thrill of your touch.

There is something wrong different about my love that assigns me a cap before I’ve led you on.

I do not understand why an apology sits at the tip of my tongue every time my affections and my identity are perceived to contradict each other.

But I am sorry. I am sorry for any distress or disappointment. I am sorry for any inconvenience or perceived loss. I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

I am not sorry for the soft smile that creeps over my face when I hear your laugh. I am not sorry for the warmth in my heart that ignites when you singsong my name. I am not sorry that you cannot neatly categorize my adoration because I am not sorry that I cannot add restrictions to my love.
