This series... wow.. I really like how you told their story! I was so captivated, I read the whole thing in one go. I also like the open ending, makes you yearn for more, but it was such a satisfying open ending it could easily be left as is. Do hope you end up writing the second part eventually, but please take your time🥰

oh my gosh thank you sooooo much!! i saw this as soon as i woke up and was like damn they read that fast haha. i'm so happy that you liked it. I definitely do want to write the second part soon, i just have a few projects i want to wrap up first so i can give it my full attention.

i mention it at the end but the sequel will see reader and bucky reunite, and feature more characters like sam and steve. i think we'll rejoin the reader trying to get her life together back home, while bucky is on a mission to reunite with her after their abrupt parting with a bit of a heist in mind. the reader still has a lot of anger within her regarding her father's murder that has yet to be resolved.

I've been brainstorming title ideas for the sequel and i think i'm going to go with 'no rest for the wicked' or 'revenge is a fools game / a fools game' - so you heard it here first hehe :)

hehe, alpine in this fic was inspired by a mix of my roommates cat and one of my childhood cats. i had a very similar experience where (before i was living with this roommate) i was couch surfing at hers, and while everyone was in the lounge the cat kinda just sauntered in and sat in my lap. everyone was like WHAT because apparently, the cat HATED strangers and didn't like sitting with or near people, even her owner. i now live with the cat and she sleeps on the end of my bed every night (or occasionally on my chest if it's cold haha). my childhood cat hated everyone, except for me and my step-dad, she'd sit on our laps and fall asleep all cute like but claw the shit out of anyone else who got too close.
