matt just fired half the remaining tumblr support staff lmao
from my sources adjacent to tumblr--from which i can spread rumors and insider information freely because i dont give a fuck about ever working in the tech sector--im hearing this round of firings was focused on purging the senior staff, and not just support but the entire remaining tumblr workforce. i'm hearing there are about 25 people left.
"trans women are pressured to undergo surgery to get anything close to the same amount of respect as their cisgender counterparts (already not much)" and "trans women deserve to feel comfortable in their bodies and this often includes surgery" are two things that coexist. they are both true things. you do not need to demonize surgery while making a point

Two funniest types of people are
1) somebody who is very buttoned-up and bland in appearance but has “weird” interests. Tim from accounting is planning a puppy play kink event for the weekend and always has opinions about new manga.
2) somebody who looks “weird” and alt but is actually a regular Joe. Girl named Zenobia dressed like a goth princess who asks if you watched Young Sheldon this week and if you want to try pickleball.

Hey again, everyone. I’m so grateful that y’all were able to help me out so much last month, but sadly April is another month and I am once again in need of a litte financial assistance to help me pay for things like groceries, gas, bills, therapy, etc. I am an unemployed trans woman in conservative-as-fuck Orange County, California trying to manage my mental health issues and just fucking get by from day to day. I had to quit my previous job due to constant harassment and transphobic bullying from customers and coworkers alike. I’m trying to raise around $600 but literally anything that you can give would mean the world to me. I haven’t asked for help the last couple of months because I felt that I was asking for help too often, but I’m at a point right now where I don’t have much choice but to ask. Thank you so much.
