I've been crocheting for over 25 years. Attic Rosary (formally known as SmallTownCoven) has been my passion project for over a decade now, and I have no plans on stopping any time soon. I'm a lover of "weird" shit. I don't think I ever got over my "mall goth" phase, and I'm pretty sure Buffy has forever influenced my aesthetic since childhood. I'm literally just making whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want to make it. There's no central theme or overall message to my "brand." It's me, I am my brand. My brand is me. I just make stuff.

A more fitted version of the popular crochet cropped fishnet top

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that I actually made this top a while ago. I'm currently working on writing up a simple pattern (maybe even filming a mini tutorial) for my Patreon. Something I noticed about this style top though is the baggy-ness and bunching that happens under the armpit area. I don't personally like that look, so I wanted to write a pattern that was more form fitting and had less excess materials under the arm pit and along the sides of the top.

You can see with my design the top curves in on the sides. I think this looks much more flattering than the usual boxy style most of these tops come in; at least for my body type. It's much more noticeable on an actual person... I'm just not an actual person, as you know, I am some sort of goblin creature, crocheting in my cave lol.

Anyways, I'm working on the pattern now and it will hopefully be up on Patreon this week. It will also be the first pattern available on my main website (usually patterns are only available through Etsy, but I wanted to try something new). Original my new new top design (similar in style but different stitches) was gonna be my first pattern available on my website but I'm having a bit of trouble explaining the more complex stitch design. It'll be available soon as well, but not when I originally planned.

Join me on Patreon if you want the pattern for just $5. Otherwise, it'll be in my shop soon for $11.11 :)

Care Instructions: Because of the different yarn types and textures it is recommended that you hand wash only and lay flat to dry.

PLEASE NOTE: if you order your bag unlined it is recommended that you do not put heavy items in your bag, as it will stretch out and may cause your bag to misshapen.

I have new designs available for custom order! 🌸🌱🩵 I kinda fell down the fairycore rabbit hole. I actually started these designs last Spring, but I was so back logged with custom cardigan and set orders that I didn’t have time to finish these up, photograph and edit them, and then make time to take on new orders. But I’m slowly getting out the last of my custom sets and cardigans, so now I have time to work on some new designs! I have a new bag design coming soon too! Be sure to follow on instagram (smalltowncoven) for all the seek peeks 💖

I just randomly, at 3:40am, thought about how much I miss going grocery shopping, with my mom, late in the evening, as a kid. Not just any late evening grocery shopping trip either; but a cold spring evening grocery shopping trip. The one where I got to snuggle up in the back seat with my soft blanket and one of my many stuffed animals. My mom would still have the window rolled down, just a little bit, so we got some fresh springtime air. I got to pick out a candy bar at the register because that was my treat for being well behaved. I want so badly to start eating my candy as soon as we get back in the car but the cool spring air, the snuggly blanket and soft stuffed animals are welcoming me to take a little nap. I can hear cars passing by as we drive home. And it never occurred to me, in those moments, that this would become a comforting memory. That this would become something I think back on and smile. That this would be something I would long for at 3:40 in the morning 25 years later.
