people are always like "Oh a vampire wouldn't get horny while drinking someone's blood, that's like getting horny while eating a sandwich" and like man have you never had a really good fucking sandwich?

The sandwich i had for lunch didnt moan and scream and squirm against my body and then become limp and pliable when i was done now did it

You know what I think its grossly under-rated in fandom? Second loves.

What it's like to love and lose and then love again. To suffer through either the death of a loved one or the death of a love you used to share. To know that loss, to know that hurt, and to still make yourself vulnerable to someone again. To love scared, to love wounded, to love anyway.

By under rated in fandom I mean so often past loves are either erased completely or downplayed like "oh yeah they weren't really in love.". I think it flattens the character. Humans are capable of so much love. Each relationship is different and you can learn from each one! And yes, there's something brave in learning to love again, something incredible romantic, why pass it by?

pet peeve is when a fellow hater conducts their haterism such that they leave the hater community vulnerable to attack. โ€œi think characterizing Character A in x way is boring and annoyingโ€ = beautiful, flawless, unimpeachable haterism. no one can tell u that u arenโ€™t allowed to find a certain characterization boring. โ€œit is morally/objectively wrong to characterize Character A in x wayโ€ = sloppy, reactionary, overcommitting. you have left our eastern flank open to attack girl what the hellโ€ฆ.now my dedicated hater troops are taking fire from YOUR enemies fuckkkkk

No fear.

"Elves in tes6 looking like pointy eared humans with unnatural skin colour, instead of having sharp features, forehead ridges, large tilted eyes, non-white sclera, and other features specific to their kin that made them look much more interesting and unique from humans, unlike most other fantasy Elves. "

One fear.

โ€œ[x] male character is woman coded!โ€ โ€œ[x] male character has so much female rage!โ€ โ€œ[x] male character is a feminist icon!โ€ have u considered caring about women instead

it is absolutely essential to have friends you can have extremely insane pervert conversations with. this is kind of what makes life worth living

But they were on a new shore by a new edge of an old world, in front of a vast sea that had swallowed much of what they once knew, on a beach made of rock and timber, not yet with sand. Alone they were, in this new corner of an equally lonely universe. There were a thousand things he could tell Maglor. Grievances and hurts, of hopes broken in golden banquets, of children spirited away after an undeserved kindness from his own people. Of deaths of those he remembered and those he never knew. Of a world on fire. He could tell him such things, multiplying under his tongue by the myriad. All of them things which have happened, but none of them the truth of why he was here. โ€œHas it ever occurred to you there might be one day where weโ€™ll be the only people left alone, whatever is left of the world behind us?โ€ Maglor had not expected that. โ€œIf I caused you offence, apologies are due. I would not withhold those from anybody. Regardless of my opinion, of our differences, of your past or present behaviour, the reason why Iโ€™m here is because you might be the only other person who knows the meaning of truly being alone. As unlikely as that may seem to you.โ€ He looked at him in what Cรญrdan could not tell if it was of confusion or disdain. โ€œHave you not heard anything I said?โ€

read chapter 1 of 2 here. reblogs encouraged and appreciated.

Many, many thanks to @elvain, @atypicalacademic & @nimphelos. This fic would not be possible without your encouragement, bouncing off of ideas, and, most importantly Nimphelos' MaglorCรญrdan art. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing this.

making a new post bc the old one has lost traction so!

hi! my name is Leo, I'm a trans uni student who's been screwed over by student finance. slightly less screwed than before as they have updated my total but are still reducing 2k from what I should be getting!

It's under the minimum amount due to reductions, and I need 7.6k (not including ยฃ100 a month for bills (not including groceries etc!)) for my rent for the year. I have about ยฃ500 in my bank atm which is not enough to cover rent, bills or food for this month (by the 19th Dec) so any donations or reblogs would be greatly appreciated <3

rent is due 19th April <3

before you make that post about "the crisis facing men and boys" or "preventing redpill radicalization" stop and check in:

is your proposed solution

  1. increased labor of women and girls
  2. women and girls enduring more abuse for the benefit of men and boys
  3. women and girls suppressing their emotions (fear, anger, resentment, etc.) and limiting their speech
  4. blaming populations of women (e.g. trans women, women involved in sex trades, racialized women) for the actions of men and expecting these women to endure punishment for men
  5. focusing on maintaining manhood and masculinity while reducing the discomfort men feel about holding this position; framing men's feelings of insecurity as the central issue to be addressed when it comes to violent misogyny

if so:

your "solution" to behavioral patterns emerging within patriarchy is more patriarchy.

instead:

try to imagine literally anything else.
