No spoilers please (I know it's over 10 years old but I'm still working on it ok), Marjory and Kasmeer are HELLA GAY for each other. If this doesn't become canon I'm gonna lose it (maybe it already is just haven't said it outright yet). I just witnessed this interaction.

(Context Kasmeer was talking about the loss of her father and family home and everything when he was arrested)

K: The guard took pity on me, I think. He told me I could take one item from the house. But I had to decide right then. One thing... from all my belongings, my family's heritage. He said, "you better choose carefully. It's all you're ever getting back." I could have taken one of my mother's necklaces or a valuable piece of art, but he was adamant. Only one thing.
M: what did you take?
K: I took the stuffed bear my father had given me... (crying)
M: Oh, Kas. Shhh. it's okay. Listen, honey. Why don't you stay with me tonight? You shouldn't be alone.
K: I'm afraid I'll never want to leave.
M: I won't let you.

This is true. The frontal lobe uses as much as 30% of your daily caloric intake. Imagine if every day, you had to max out on frontal lobe usage just to cope with reality. It puts the nervous system into a stress situation and this further affects the body’s ability to use calories efficiently.

Being neurodivergent or disabled means masking, and masking is incredibly difficult for the body. It’s also very demanding on the brain.

Also “you don’t look autistic” is fucking stupid and ableist to say.
