Friendly reminder that just because people can produce content doesn't mean they have to. And while some have the capacity to consistently produce, others do not. There are more than enough free fics to be consumed while waiting for more. So, please, do not try to guilt anyone to create.

As a writer, whether I post fan fiction or original work, one of the most annoying things is people commenting on WIPs with โ€œPlease updateโ€ or something along those lines; and I do know people mean well but with those kinds of comments it makes me feel pressured to update not for the sake of writing for myself but for other people; it also feels like people donโ€™t take into account that writers are people with lives outside of that, with jobs and other things, which makes updating frequently hard to do. In my case, I cannot write when Iโ€™m tired from work or when life things are happening with family, but most especially when I no longer have inspiration for a story.

Idk, I guess what Iโ€™m trying to say is remember authors are people and be kind in your comments, and donโ€™t pressure them for updates because writing is an art in of itself and takes just as much time to craft as visual art.
