NOW THEORIZE

Okay okay let me break some things down

People have already mentioned that Zoey and Garroth are both facing away, whereas Laurance is facing towards Aphmau. As the most open with his feelings towards Aphmau. And that Garroth can't face Aphmau even if he wanted to.

But I also wanted to pount out how Garroth and Aphmau are in sync.

And how Aphmau and Zoey are we to back and Garroth and Laurance are back to back.

How Laurance has a similar background to Zoey, the darker pink with a flowery background. Whereas Aphmau and Garroth have a similar background, with a lighter colour and more of a border on the sides. (Making them look more controlled?)

And I also wanted to point out flower uses

Roses for Laurance. "Red roses symbolize all the qualities that speak to a powerful and genuinely beautiful love story. They represent devotion, passion, romance, desire, and true love". He also has thorns, just like how Laurance has thorns. He can explode and get angry.

In Garroth's, there seems to be a tulip. "The most known meaning of tulips is perfect and deep love". "They're ideal to give to someone who you have a deep, unconditional love for". Tulips are also closed off flowers. The petals protect the inside from being seen.

Aphmau vague 5 petaled flower. Which seems to be entirely open. It could be anyone's guess what that one is, there are simply too many to decipher. And a light purple 4 petaled flower on her flower crown. This could be the dame's rocket? It's most fitting in appearance, "It is called the “Flower of Deceit” because, despite its loveliness, there is no fragrance during the day. Come nightfall, however, the flower has a lovely perfume. The “rocket” part of the name reflects the deceitful nature of the fragrance." I don't think Aphmau is especially deceiving. But it's interesting nonetheless.

Zoey, has the flower in Aphmau's background, roses + another one. Which seems to be a lily. "The lily is known to represent love, devotion, purity and fertility, with the innocent beauty of the flower known to symbolize new life and rebirth."

i'm sorry for taking so long to respond to this, school has had my whole focus recently ;;;; BUT you've got most of it hehe :D

On the nose for Laurance! The thorns serve as a reminder that though his love is a passionate and true one, its paired with his explosive tendencies. A reminder that though sweet he's capable of harm.

The flowers that I paired with Garroth are lilies of the valleys, I tried to keep the flowers accurate to mc lore.

lilies of the valley typically stand for the promise of happiness ,sweetness, and purity (hello mystic messenger). Not only that they look like tears for our sad man. I thought that the meaning, paired with that they are poisonous, described Garroth pretty well. While his feelings are more innocent and reserved, they are poisonous to him and fueled him to betray his own people.

BINGO for dames rocket on aphmau, though I did mix in some Sherwood purple (i think the mix serves as a reminder that she is an outlier in their world) I like the other name used for it, mother of the evening, aphmau giving mother!!! I also just like the regency feeling the names give. The fragrance part was the part i thought most of using, like she attracts danger and conflict.

though I'm going to try to start pairing aphmau with violets. I like their shape and i feel like their meaning modesty and watchfulness is a bit more fitting. I think she's still a work in progress. I focused her card being a bit more frilly and current than the others.

NOW ZOEY her's are actually peonies representing her bashfulness towards her feelings for aph. I DESIRE SLOWBURN 50K WORDS NEOW!!! A little more deeper though, they also represent shame. Now I don't think that zoey has any strong shameful feelings about her love for aph, but I think that the shame comes from her wondering if she can even love her in this romantical of a way, though knowing aphs priorities lay with her sons and phoenix drop. Zoey loves the boys, but phoenix drop is just an extension of aph that she loves. Is it so wrong she wishes to only protect her small newfound family? Then a bit of guilt bubbles up about leaving her old one....
