Decapolic Pre Realese predictions/Analysis
Part 1
Note: The following post are only predictions/theories made by me. I will be including multiple screenshots from the official trailers and the TGS 2023 demo
Also, I will be adding any new information on the game if revealed so this post will be updated.
1. 10 playable character/How the title foreshadow this
Now, if you watched all the trailers specifically the first 3 ones you may notice this person during the rpg segments.
This person is a woman with black hair with a yellow stripe like a scene kid. While I can’t tell what her puppet form is, it seems to be animal like most of the cast. Unlike the 5 members (yes this will be explained later on), she hasn’t been revealed yet and with the new battle system showing the newer trailer, she isn’t seen. Possibly for story spoilers?
However, the title foreshadows how many party members we may have with one of the words in it.
While we know what the police part is, the deca part actually means ‘ten’ in Greek. In conclusion, we’ll possibly be getting 10 party members, along with mysterious yellow stripe girl.
Also, as @decaism pointed out the party has a main color with their clothes.
Harvard: Red
Carl: Green
Zhang: Blue
Manimani: Purple
Mikey: Orange
Maise: White (she isn’t part of the party but she comes with them)
The remaining colors for possible party members are pink, grey, brown, black, and white. Yellow is obviously going to the hidden girl member. That remains 5 colors. I think black will go to one of the team members to contrast Maise.
Also, each team members specialized in a specific investigation skill. Which skill do you think the party members have?
2. Who is the Clown and why is they the worst serial killer?
In the second trailer, we are introduced to the clown, a serial killer/ called the Clown was introduced.
They are wearing a creepy mask and they are possibly going to be the main villain. Not only that, but Harvard is connected to him due to the murder of his mother, presumably because he was very closed to her.
We were also revealed their ‘Crime Beast’ form in the same trailer.
Now a serial killer is a murder who kills more than 1 person, maybe dozens. Their possible main style of murder is leaving their victim hanging with red strings with their face painted with makeup.
My theory on the clown is they are infamous for killing dozens (but maybe 20-30) but never getting caught by anyone. I think this is why Harvard is so obsessed with capturing them.
3. Why hack into Decasim?
As of now we have no reason for why the corporation decide to hack into Decasim, other than they can. It looks it starts taking place in the case at the mall.
However, I think the hacking was caused to try to harm or even KILL the people involved. It is mentioned in the TGS Demo by Carl that we were almost killed by the Crime Beast, implying that what ever happens to them in Decasim happens in real life.
