Good Omens season 3/finale thought of the day:

I had a sudden vision of seeing at some point in the finale a desperate Crowley needing to call to Aziraphale again to get him to come back to earth. And there’s one effective way of doing that. He finds a church and slowly walks up the aisle, letting the consecrated grounds scorch his feet. He needs to feel the pain to make this work. He reaches the alter and sinks to his knees, and clasps his hands together in prayer. As his feet and knees burn and his hands smoke he calls up to his angel asking him to come home. Aziraphale hearing the prayers immediately appears before him, glowing in heavenly glory with wings outspread. He knows exactly what Crowley is doing and he can’t let his demon burn. Not again. Crowley weeps in relief and Aziraphale scoops him into his arms, and cradles him gently as a lover would. Carrying him out of the church he whispers how he was always coming back, that he wouldn’t leave him on his own, that this was all for him, because there is no world without him. They promise each other no more running to Alpha Centauri, no more trying to fix Heaven from the inside. They stand together, as an Us.
