Me and my brother used to play a game called wrestle tag, which was similar to traditional tag, but every once in a while I would pick him up and slam him into the ground. He was three years younger than me and easy to slam. Now he’s 6’3” and has a bad back, so we just play stupid shit like rocket league. Never grow up people.

Along with all the really nice comments that tumblr tags provide, I also love reading people’s interpretations of my art that I wouldn’t have considered otherwise. In “New Jester is Totally Bombing” I drew the knight in the way back with a sort of incredulous smile cuz I imagined he’s the type of friend with zero second hand embarrassment who gets a kick out of people making a scene. I had him raise his arm a little bit as if he were nudging the other knight like “oh my god dude this rocks he’s totally flailing.” But a ton of people in the tags thought he was unironically digging the jester’s routine or even developing a crush on him which never occurred to me. Similarly with “The Shore” a lot of people assumed the horse in the water was some kind of sea monster luring the knight in, and I can totally understand that since I drew the horse’s mane in a stylized upright way that could look like a fin. In reality I just wanted to paint a knight and his horse jumping in the water after a long journey, with the horse naturally getting there first cuz horses are fast. These alternate views aren’t wrong at all cuz the art is out of my hands now and I really like hearing them.
