You could be having the most fucked up problematic thoughts 24/7 but if you treat people with kindness, the good you do is the only thing that matters. But if you have only the purest thoughts and all the correct beliefs, it doesn't matter one bit if you spend most of your time being an asshole to people.

Shinichi Kudo is an asirping newcomer author. In order to distance himself from his father’s fame he uses a pen name and tries to make a name for himself on his own. Succesful manga artist Kid is shocked when he realizes his favorite author is struggling and hunts him down.

I wanted to write a summary of the M27 Kaishin cousins drama and its fallout. However, since I myself am not a Kaishin shipper, I don't have all the information about how the shippers felt about it (and mostly only how the fandom on tumblr reacted). So I wanted to ask if you maybe know more? From what I've gathered on tumblr, most people seemed to either ignore the cousins reveal or state that their works are in an AU where Shinichi and Kaito aren't realted, but I've also heard that some people stopped shipping it alltogether?

to be honest, I can‘t really give much input here. Once the spoilers started to show up I just avoided tumblr and discord almost all the way to Fall. I was pretty disappointed by the English-speaking fandom that they would just spread spoilers openly like that, not because of the cousin content but just generally. IMO that was just rude and unnecessary.
Aside from that, from what I heard or did happen to pass by there were some people who really took it to the heart and even seemed to consider dropping the ship. I‘m not sure how many people actually did that since I avoided English DetCo social media. The mutuals I have in the fandom mostly found the reveal stupid and ignored it.

although i am tagging this as kaishin for convenience, the author themselves didn't, so i guess this isn't really kaishin?? sorta??! it is shinichi and kaito centric though, i guess the more accurate term would be 'implied'? Yeah okay let's call it implied kaishin.
