Hi Bani! I had a quick question, how do you get your amigurumi hair to stay flat? I've tried sewing it down, but it never looks right after I do :(
Hi! Not sure what you mean by flat sorry.
If you're asking how to prevent the strands from curling, do a normal/light tension while crocheting. Some people pin the hair on a board, spray it with water, and wait for it to dry. Since I'm too lazy to do this, I just pass through a thread on all the hair ends :D
But if you're referring on how to make the hair less bulky, using a thinner yarn and limiting the hair up to two layers might help.
I use fabric glue (E7000) to stick the hair on the head.
I just started crocheting and stumbled here by accident but you motivate so much!!
Idk if this is rude but is there a chance you’ll make a tutorial or a guide?😭
Thank you! I'm glad that I was able to inspire you :D I hope you enjoy the craft!
It's not rude at all don't worry! I don't have plans to make one right now, university snatches all my time :') I'm still hesitant to do tutorials since teaching is not my forte :( But I'll try to think about it.
THE COLOURS ON JING YUAN ARE SO AMAZING AHHSDH
any chance we can see the yarn collection?
Thank youu! I spent hours deciding what yarn color I should use for him hahaha!
This is what my yarn stash looks like when I don't have any WIPs 😆 (currently controlling my yarn collecting addiction :'D)
I dont think Ive send in my ask, but oh my LORD YOUR CROCHET IS SO TALENTED!!!! I'm constantly showing them to people like "Friends look at this!!! Woah!!!"
I've never been fond of amigurumi because e n d s. How can you stand to crochet THAT small and then attach them? Is it just cutting and hot glue??? I would absolutely bonkers if I had to.
You are making me consider going back into amigurumi again though....
Thank you!
For the small details, I usually use fabric glue to attach them. Though I sometimes sew it if fabric glue is not enough to hold it in place.
Detailing amigurumi is my least favorite part since it's time consuming and painful haha! But it's also the most satisfying process :D
I'm glad that I was able to inspire you to think about making amigurumi again hehe! I encourage you to do so :D
I dont know much about what kind of craft this is but my coworker friend, who is into stuff like this, is INCREDIBLY impressed and says its very difficult.
Shed kinda like to know how long youve been doing this for and why/how youve learned to be so good at it
They are very beautiful!
I've been crocheting for 2 years already :D I didn't expect to stay in this hobby for this long. I'm really bad at it when I was still starting and always rage quitting when learning the basic stitches hahaha!
Trying to make different things with crochet when I was still a beginner helped me understand what each type of stitch can do. But what helped me the most to be able to do freehand is crocheting plants :D. It taught me on how to use wires and do unusual shapes.
Thank you for the kind words! Knowing people appreciate my work motivates me to improve my craft even more :D I really appreciate it!
