i wasn't gonna say anything but sparkpelt discourse makes me so mad tbh. like whether you're a sympathizer or a demonizer you're missing the whole point
#i reaaaally hate ppl who woobify sparkpelt#they act like nightheart is a spoiled brat for not wanting a relationship with his mom who was emotionally distant for his entire childhood#and is upset that she only wants a relationship now that he's an adult and he's no longer her responsibility#and ppl who villianize her are no better. because ppd and grief is a valid reason to be emotionally distant#and she did right by her children by giving them up to be raised by sorrelstripe instead of trying and failing herself#ive seen extremes on both sides too like. some people outright denying that sparkpelt ever abandoned her kids????#or that sparkpelt is a horrible person in general because she did abandon them???#it makes me so mad. wc fans are so starved for nuanced characters they dont even know what they look like anymore#also my take is the only correct one everybody else is wrong i will not be swayed on this#mod speaks#not cat#tw discourse#wc discourse

Sunbeam doesnt even like Nightheart that way. Sunbeam has never thought of him as anything but "He's cool I think we could be friends". Nightheart is actively seeing her as only a way to get what he wants and is very clear at the end when he states hes going to be mates with her just to join ShadowClan despite her knowing NOTHING of this plan.
okay i havent even finished the book thanks for spoiling it also this just isnt true lol. "she doesnt like him that way" and the internal monologue from her pov gushing about how hot and funny he is means nothing, obviously
