Because it needs to be said for some of y'all. Neil is an absolute treasure of a human and exceedingly talented. But he is a person, NOT a character in a game. Some of the comments the girls were making last week at MegaCon while waiting to meet him gave me the ick. Do better.

Hey so I wanna address this. In my (very short because this shit is seriously fucking new to me) time online in a fan art space, I've always understood that when you share other's art, either their credit needs to be in the image or you need to add something to the post crediting them.

Based on a previous post, at least one person out there doesn't believe this to be good enough. I tried to ask them what they would prefer but I've been blocked. To be fair I came off sorta bitchy. That's on me. So, fan art community of Tumblr, I ask you, what's the gold standard?

Also, if you see something uncredited, or not credited to your liking, don't be a dick and instead maybe let the person know they need to add something to it. Just a thought? Maybe?

I'm meeting Neil in a few weeks, got a photo op and autograph set up. I need pose ideas! And quotes for the signing that aren't your run of the mill Astarion lines. Something more obscure. Until then, I'm playing the game and have a note in my phone of the possibilities as I come across them.
