How many of those words are actually in the bible?

Welcome to Bible%

Whether you're talking about pegging Crowley from Good Omens, doing unspeakable acts of horror to a political figure, or just being batshit insane on main, we here at Bible% are here to defend any and everyone who has ever been hit with the dread "None of those words are in the Bible."

Because, statistically speaking, 76.92% of those words are in the bible.

STATUS: OPEN

We are currently accepting tumblr post submissions via @ing me in posts. Discord and comment screenshots are also being accepted via the ask box.

RULES OF SUBMISSIONS

  1. I will not post every submission, if it's not funny or not tasteful it is not being approved. Shoot your shot, but if you don't see your post within the week assume you were denied.
  2. The brain is a powerful tool, use it. I will not calculate any personal posts discussing ones personal life/kinks/etc on this blog. If it's something the op does not want in the spotlight, do not submit it here besties.
  3. No video submissions unless transcript is already provided. I do not have the brain cells to watch a video in an attempt to capture every single word.
  4. When submitting several posts at a time via the ask box, please link them all in a single ask -- if you spam my ask box, I will find you.
  5. Stay unhinged xoxo

FAQ

Are you a bot? No. If I knew how to code a bot I would make this a bot, but alas.

How are you calculating this? This website, I use the King James Version

How do you choose what posts you reblog?

Easy! But also very complicated. I have a mental list of do's and don'ts when reblogging posts to this account. Obviously, the post has to be unhinged -- but there are other things I look for as well!

Will me adding religion to this post upset the op? If the answer is likely yes, I do not repost. Is this a personal post that obviously is not intended for a wider audience? If yes, I do not reblog.

9/10 fandom posts are safe for me to reblog, as well as anything under #none of those words are in the bible, but in general I just try to minimize the amount of discomfort I bring to the overall Tumblr community with this account -- as I know a lot of people hate religion.

WHO ARE YOU??

For the sake of this blog, I am N. I'm a non-bianary adult who uses she/they/he pronouns, and am a lesbian who is feral for any woman who could crush me.

I am not religious, I do not believe in a higher power. I have never read the bible, unless if you count the picture book bible my cousin had as a kid for some reason. This is for shits n giggles, nothing more.

83.33% of these words are in the King James Bible. Honestly only 2 words short from a perfect... bravo

66.67% of these words are in the King James Bible! Also this was submitted last July and given what has happened since... I'm putting money on a nuclear threat by 2026.

Anonymous asked:

Is it fpreg or fempreg? (Female equivalent of mpreg)

Asking for a friend

Well, if we're using the same logic of mpreg being the first letter of male and then preg, then fpreg would probably be correct.

HOWEVER, fempreg sounds 10x better and I'm Jesus so. Fempreg.

Anonymous asked:

the reading comprehension on this site is piss poor ๐Ÿ˜”

So is mine tbf but at least I don't go around correcting people and assuming they're an idiot (unless if they're Tumblr) ๐Ÿฅบ

This sounds mean, I am not trying to be mean to you anon I love you

bible my dear. "anonymous's" is not a plural form of anonymous. the s is there to indicate the ask belongs to Anonymous, not to indicate the singular ask was sent by several unnamed users.

if you want to be pedantic about grammar maybe first learn grammar. cod bless.

Bestie beloved, I know. Believe it or not people can mix up words (or forget they exist yay me).

Perhaps read the other 2 asks I answered about this, one of which I legit send a screenshot stating that it's possessive.

Cod bless being judgemental ๐Ÿ™

i assume they do the anonymous wrong because when someone sends you an ask off anon, it's [username]'s ask and they just replace the username with anonymous without making a separate thing for it

Avatar

Very wise, very demure, very mindful Look mom I did a meme!

This makes total sense, I'm still going to be unreasonably upset at this because anonymous' works and looks 1 million times better and it should be the only correct way >:(

Anonymous asked:

Sorry but "Anonymous's" is, in fact, correct. It's spelled just like it's pronounced. English has a lot of stupid spellings and Tumblr has a lot of stupid quirks, but that is not one of them.

Googled, and yep English continues to be stupid. s's AND s' are correct. s' looks nicer though and I will die on this hill, Tumblr please make it look less stupid idc if what you have rn is correct ๐Ÿ˜ค

As someone with major anxiety who canโ€™t fucking stop themself from scrolling, i appreciate posts like this

Since I'm already here, I once heard that the word "tyrant" was avoided as much as possible in the King James bible, as if he didn't want people to view him, a man in a position of power, like that

It would be cool to see a comparison between versions

Avatar

This is a super interesting piece of Trivia!!! Unfortunately the website I use only contains 2 versions of the Bible, those being the King James version and American Standard version.

SO while I cannot compare a variety of Bibles, I CAN tell you that Tyrant appears 0 times in both the ASV and KJV Bibles.

does a single vivziepop character leave the onceler BMI bracket or are they all build like garden shed tools

none of these words are in the bible

oh yes they are

OP is right, 63.16% of those words ARE in the bible. Should they be? Absolutely not.

does a single vivziepop character leave the onceler BMI bracket or are they all build like garden shed tools

what do you mean does and tools are not in the bible

what do you mean the story where one of the main protagonist is the son of a carpenter does not have the word tools. impressive if they were specific with what tool each time, understandable if they used "instruments" every time

I make mistakes sometimes so I did double check if the word "does" or "tools" appears in the KJV or ASV bibles, and I am glad to say they do not!

I've never read the bible and thus cannot confirm what words they use instead. However, @bible-word-counter may be able to shed light upon the subject!

Shout out to the people who question my percents, I genuinely love you guys so much because you often do catch mistakes <3

the bible probably uses ื›ืœื™ื or ื›ืœื™ื ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” instead.

I use the King James Bible which is 100% English, so while the original Bible probably does use those terms it would not be used in my reference material.

Thank you for your input though,. it's very interesting to see terms that may have been used in the Bible's native language :)
