Male, 61, married, living in the American Southwest. Software Consultant, Historian, Writer, Poet, former pro-Volleyball Player, Professional Musician, NHRA Racer, Classic Car Restorer, Psychic and Cryptid Researcher. I'm not looking for more hobbies, but they find me anyway. My fervent hope is that people educate themselves and learn that history does indeed repeat itself. Don't close yourself off to new things! Don't slap in ear buds and shut off the world. Ask the question 'why?' and research the answer. You'll be surprised at the outcome. Most of this content is mine; those not mine, are reposts.

"The Frank Lloyd Wright Spire"

In 1954, FLW completed drawings done on his own time of a fantasy project to design a new Arizona State Capitol. He pitched it to them, and it was promptly rejected as too far ahead of its time. The design included some futuristic spires, but since it wasn't going to be built, the plans were shelved for half a century. When the Promenade Shopping Center was being built in Scottsdale, the developer wanted something distinctive to adorn the place. Built in 2004, the 125-foot glass and metal spire now stands on the corner of Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd and Scottsdale Rd.

Columns inside Medinet Habu, Ramesses III mortuary temple colors are still vibrant. Can you imagine how bright they were back then?

The Babylonians knew of five planets Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Mercury, and Mars. They were named in the order mentioned in ancient cuneiform literature: These five planets were associated with the Babylonian gods as follows:

- Jupiter with the god Marduk

- Venus with the god Ishtar,

- Saturn with the god Ninurta

- Mercury with the god Nabu

- Mars with Nergal - Nergal

The movement of the five planets was considered a representation of the activity of the five gods, in addition to the sun, which represented the god Shamash and the moon, which represented the god Sin. Events on Earth were interpreted according to the activity of these planets, and through them, the divine will was known.

The Saloon in Crown King, Arizona. Originally built in the town of Oro Belle (now ghost town) in 1880, it was moved up the mountain in pieces by wagon in and reconstructed in Crown King. An original poker table inside is purported to have hosted Pancho Villa as a young man when he worked in Oro Belle. I've frequented the saloon on numerous occasions.
