who up thinking about two left handed gloves with hearts worked into the palm laid out to dry on beechey island
Two knitted cotton gloves belonging to a member of Sir John Franklin's 1845 Arctic expedition. They are two left hands, not a pair. The remains of elastic at the wrists and a small heart worked into the palm of both hands are visible. Found laid out to dry on Beechey Island on 29 August 1850 by Sherard Osborn, HMS 'Pioneer', during Captain Horatio Austin's search expedition 1850-51.

I had a wonderful night and I learnt to play pool AND I got 25/195 years into my drunk infodump about local history which is pretty good compared to previous attempts
#also the friend i was talking to said she likes hearing history from me because i always tells her whats provably true and whats conjecture#:))))))#my new thing is basically going hey who wants to hear about 5 generations of the family who lived in that house over there#the people i meet irl in the town named after the family i talk about seem more interested in that than whatever roald amundsen had going on#strange that... 🤔#unfortunately i can't really infodump on here about them too because that would doxx me so fucking fast#anyway i shall drift off to beautiful drunken sleep now good timezone everyone :)

Through the power of careful and subtle suggestion I have sent David to wander the wetlands in the dark. When he is consumed by the night by seniority the keys will be rightfully mine. Soon I shall become all powerful. Also we went to a old few cemeteries and the goldfields with the work experience kid which was nice
