What up, I'm Vee, they/them, Elder Millennial, I've been in fandom possibly longer than you've been alive. This blog is rated M but not E (ao3 standards) and 99% is PG/PG-13. I write (nsfw) on ao3 as BlocksRuinedMe, I run @whereonhermitcraftisjoel and @mcytchatscreenshots and "ChilledCubitoClips" on youtube. (I ask[1 that you not link these together.)

Freedom of expression and anti-censorship has been one of the most important things to me morally or ethically (again) possibly longer than you've been alive. I am forever opposed to anyone telling anyone else how to engage with their creativity, their visions, their lives. This includes fans, corporations, and people who professionally create media[2]. If that's a problem, I have no right to tell you not to engage with me but you might not enjoy it!

[1] I have not right to demand you do anything, but I'd reaaaaaally like it if you didn't!

[2] I think also amateurs but I'm willing to hear arguments about edge cases. If you make money from us watching your content, you are ethically the same as Anne Rice and Warner Brothers.

whenever people say shit like “i couldn’t be polyamorous, i’m so jealous and possessive. if my partner even LOOKS at another girl/guy i’m gonna kick them out of a window” i’m like well you should probably be working on that. like even if you don’t end up doing polyamory it’s probably good to not be like that

don't celebrate stream sub gifts during a charity stream after a streamer tells you not to!

i am overall having a great time but I accidentally saw that and just what felt like *endless* fawning and thanking and going on about how much 50 sub donations cost. most of the way into day two of the fucking charity event

i tried very hard to bite my tongue and said something like "remember to donate to the actual charity" and left.

(streamer was afk but as far as i saw the mods weren't commenting on it)

I don't know WHY this is annoying me so much, i work hard to not be super negative here but this is actionable! You, reader, could do this!

tumblr truly is the only social media left I actually enjoy. yes the ads are horrible and the mobile app barely functions. no I do not care. I have curated my feed to show me beautiful toxic old man yaoi. I block all discourse without shame. it is an oasis of filth and nonsense in a landscape of curated ragebait, and in my fellow over-25s still splashing about in the mud I have at last found my people
