Wort. Satz. Text?

@bluespring864 / bluespring864.tumblr.com

Blue ~ early 30ies ~ she/her/they/them ~ 16+ blog ~ also on Ao3 ~ enjoy the chaos on here (i tag well though if you want to filter stuff out)

Truly one of the nicest things on tumblr.com is when someone floods your activity feed and after a long list of likes and reblogs you see the notif that they are now following you :)

I might not always follow back (especially if you do not tag) but obviously you are all appreciated <3

Never feel bad about unfollowing me again, by the way, I have a lot of fandoms and it might sometimes be a bit much even if you filter things out, I do know that! But I'm not organised enough to make 20 sideblogs or something so if you subscribe to me you sign up for the (well tagged) chaos, that's for sure.

There's an awful lot of tennis and figure skating on this blog, a lot of Tatort as well from time to time, a lot of Taskmaster, some Good Omens, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek and various other shows, some British (and a sprinkle of American) Comedy, lots and lots of stuff about writing and language, poetry in several languages, lots of art and photography and always cats.

Some current affairs and politics as well although I try to not have it encroach on this fandom space too much.

If there's something you want me to tag for, feel free to ask and I'll consider it!

For those who are wondering how things are going in Türkiye...

We are still in the middle of everything but I want to share something we are doing right now that is actually affecting things in our favor very quickly.

We are all organized to boycott brands/companies and most importantly media conglomerates that align themselves with Erdoğan and his party, and also those who pretend to be the left but are silent during the protests.

Very fun things happen when you do that.

  • The TV channels that supported Erdoğan and pretended the protests didn't happen changed their tune in one day:

(They are still barely covering it, so the boycott continues until they start doing their job properly.)

  • A coffee chain owned by a supporter of Erdoğan's is being boycotted and they lost 70% of their daily revenue and organized a media campaign to imply they are doing well. (The hilariously empty bags are from the book store owned by one of the media companies being boycotted.) They are desperate and it's so funny.
  • A concert organization company's CEO called the boycotters "traitors of the country" and got into the boycott list. We started campaigning for artists to cancel their events that is organized by this company. Ane Brun and Trevor Noah showed their support to us and cancelled their shows! As a result, the company was forced to remove itself from all the events they are organizing! The CEO apologized on Twitter but then finally was forced to delete his account lol. (They will be transferring the events to another company but it's still in progress, so the boycott for currently uncancelled Muse and Robbie Williams concerts is ongoing.)

Today we are doing a full boycott to stop the entire economy. We will resume our normal boycott tomorrow but today we are not buying anything. And the government is freaking out, threathening legal action to anyone who boycotts but it just proves that they have a lot to lose.

Like I said, we are still in the middle of change but those in power care about money more than anything. We don't know how much change it can bring but if nothing, it's super fun watching them running around like headless chicken and losing money.

We will not stop boycotting until we rid of all the corruption and İmamoğlu is out of prison, the media is free again and we can have our democracy back.

Muse joined the cause ♥️

Sabalenka closing more regularly is a tantalizing prospect, but it’s difficult to imagine, because she’s never been an ice-cold finisher. Sabalenka’s career is a story of hard-won success after an agonizing runway, not easy dominance. Her warts—the consecutive double faults at the tail end of a major semifinal, the overeager backhands right into the net’s broad clutches—are the most relatable thing about her tennis. They’re certainly more relatable than her ability to wipe the outside of the line with an inside-out forehand winner struck while backpedaling. The athletic transcendence is spectacular to watch, but the internal fractures help maintain a constant sense of drama and doubt. Her success is richer for it. Watching a player overcome their worst habits is always compelling, but there’s nothing more magnetic to a tennis fan than being so taken with the skill in front of your eyes that you can’t help but imagine the platonic ideal of that player mowing down everything in their path. Sabalenka lets you do both.
