archive blog about vintage blythe dolls !
rowena’s trips archive/weekly content
hi angels !

this is a blog where i will be posting blythe doll content every week.

Blythe dolls were created in 1972 by American designer Allison Katzman, and were sold for only one year in the USA before getting banned for being too “scary”. The issue seemed to be their oversized eyes that can blink and change colour using a mechanism at the back of their heads. They were sold in Japan, Australia and in the UK and acquired a cult following of collectors and photographers.

In fact, a lot of photos of blythe dolls in the late 70s all the way to the late 2000s remained on the internet, which is why u created this blog.

On this blog i’d like to remain strictly anonymous as well as keeping my age private for personal reasons 🩷

Los viajes de rowena (Mertxe Rovira)

mertxe rovira is one of the oldest pinterest user i know. her oldest boards on there were created more then twelve years ago, where she started posting pins about her travels and hobbies. she became a niche legend among the blythe fan community with her board “rowena’s trips” where she’d post photos of her blythe doll, rowena, in front of famous places around the world. the board contains now more than three hundred and eighty photos, taken in the late 2000s.

the first picture of Rowena posted on the Rowena’s trips board. (i’m her biggest fan !!!!)
