It's unfair, you think.

The way this man effortlessly weaves through crowds like he's Poseidon parting the great seas, the way he casually points to a bundle of grapes in immaculate Italian, the way he finds you no matter where you are (because truthfully, you've always been the directionally-challenged one), the way he proffers his gelato to you every time you scrunch up your nose at the taste of yours.

For a man who claims he has unremarkable luck, he is incredibly blessed.

It almost infuriates you.

But when he turns towards to you, the thought perishes every time. Because he's here, enamored by you as if you're the stars to his galaxy, as if no one could have hung up the sun in the sky except you, as if you're the only one that exists in his universe, as if you, only you, could create the crinkles around his eyes or the beginnings of a blooming smile.

You're so entranced by the softness of this man—a fatal juxtaposition to the man whose reputation sends shivers down your spine and to the man who believes "being cute" isn't in his forte—that you don't even notice when he's centimeters away from you.

And then you feel the impact of something wickedly cold and sticky against your cheek and decide—today, he must die.

"Please tell me that isn't your gelato."

His laughter spills over like the last bubbles of champagne earned on a warm summer day, "Oh but it is, sweetie."

You lunge with your own (of course you miss), and again, the delightful game of cat and mouse you play continues.

I have been waiting for this and I have been looking forward to finally write how I have enjoyed this fic ever since I found its existence last year.

First of all, thank you for fleshing out this story for all of us to enjoy and reading how their relationship progress is something I have always look forward to every update. I remember you gave us a disclaimer about struggling completing long fics and even then, I took the plunge because I enjoyed the prose and the plot (and I would wait, for a year, two years, or more for an update HAHA).

I am glad it ended in a good note, that our MC and Sylus is the same world and experiencing the same things together, living life together. It is something I wanted to see, even just a snippet, after chapter 10 has ended.

Thank you, thank you for writing this for us free of charge, and I hope you continue writing, LADs related or not.

P.S. I KNEW THAT MF FISH IS IN THE SAME UNIVERSE AS THEM AS WELL! HAHA

Alright I usually don't do this and I don't even know if you'll see this but I finished reading 'Take your time miss dear' like yesterday and trust me when I say this I LITREALLY SAW THE WHOLE FIC IN MY DREAM WHILE I WAS SLEEPING (I am really sorry if it's weird but even I am surprised because I never saw sylus in my dream not even once and that too imagine seeing the whole story just rolling infront of you. I was floating in happiness the next day 😭😭 this might be because I litreally binge watched the whole story from ch 1 to 9 yesterday, like seriously I didn't even did anything but reading) also now whenever I see deer's it reminds me of your story!!

Also I would like to appreciate this piece of perfection you weaved, few months back I once got this story suggested but I didn't started reading because the pain of reading an ongoing story and waiting for updates- and then yesterday was my day and I've been hooked. I can't let go, wdym just 1-2 parts are left NOOOO please don't I wanna live in this story forever!!

I really loved how soft and kind you have written the personality of our miss deer like she's just perfect, and sylus oh god don't even get me started- I love both of them so much, even the side character's like Luke and Kieran, Louis, mr lion, miss deer's father mephisto and even THAT HUMAN VILLAN everyone is written so well no words will do justice in appreciating them enough. I litreally cried when sylus was in deep sleep it felt like I was waiting for him to wake up, you really did justice to that dream part. Your story was like cotton, so soft and beautiful, like one's favourite song which keeps playing and playing to heart's content. It's like when I reading I felt so warm inside seeing how much of a gentleman sylus is, like a warm blanket in cold winter night he is just the perfect person anyone could ever want. His journey from skye to sylus muah <33 I really really really really love your story and please keep writing more like this because this one goes straight to the best fics I've ever read folder!!

First of all, thank you for this sweet comment! I am happy this fic reached you and even happier that you have enjoyed this story. I may have said this too many times in my author's notes but I am glad I gathered enough courage to also post this in this platform.

It makes me sad that this fic is coming to an end as well. ૮ ◞ ﻌ ◟ ა

Painting this AU and fleshing it out with different characters is something I have thoroughly enjoyed within the last two months. Thinking about how Miss Deer would react to Sylus' advances, how the people around them perceives them, was something I always look forward to writing every night before I go to bed (or sometimes, when I wake up at 2am).

I am incredibly flattered that my writing lead to you even dreaming this fic. I showed this to my beta reader and they wanted to ask (If you want to share, no pressure!) which POV are you in the dream HAHA

Don't worry! I still have ideas I have in mind to write and I see writing fanfics as a way to exercise my outlining and more.
