Hey if you own a business I need you to repeat after me:

  • I will not let my web developer manage my domain registration.
  • My domains are my responsibility and they cannot be handed to a contractor.
  • If I do not control my domains, I do not control my website.
  • If my domain is paid for on somebody else's credit card, it isn't really mine.
  • I will read every contract carefully and abide by its terms.
  • If the terms of a contract are not agreeable to me, I will amend them until the contractor and I both agree to and are aware of the terms.
  • I will pay my contractors in a timely fashion.
  • I will not burn bridges with my contractors.
  • I will pay for domain registration myself, and will never grant anyone else complete control over my domain.
  • I will not let my web developer manage my domain registration.

As the thrilling sequel to "Listening to the Harrow the Ninth Audiobook After Receiving My Covid Vaccine (a.k.a. 24 hours spent puking and shivering on the bathroom floor, because my immune system hates me)", a frankly spiritual 4D media experience in which i resonated with Harrowhark Nonagesimus (who spends the better part of that book also puking and shivering on the floor) on never-before-felt levels, i spent today engaging in "Playing Disco Elysium For The First Time While I Have A Terrible Cold," a jarringly autobiographical experience which i think enriches the game immensely

First 10 minutes of the game, i failed a minor social interaction with Kim and collapsed on the floor and straight up died of embarrassment. This is literally just how i live my life

Funniest thing that happened to me recently was that i went to an event advertised as a 'sapphic social', and immediately upon arriving began hovering around the outskirts of the gathering with my Terminator-style HUD pulled up trying to scientifically analyze the situation and devise a plausibly-deniable excuse to weasel my way into an existing conversational group - for example, perhaps, "Is it ok if I put my bag here?" Yes, good, yes, incredibly normal, and almost impossible to be read as intrusive or presumptive or rude - until someone literally just walked up to me and said "Hi!". And i was like. oh my god. My god, it's that easy. It's a Social Event. The aim is to Be Social. You can just walk up to someone and say "Hi!", and they don't put you in jail or anything. Unbelievable

Well I was readin “Invisible Man” by Ralph Ellison, which is a good book about a man tryna find his way in a world that doesn’t want him after his entire life plan fuckin falls apart (the invisibility in this case is metaphorical).

And I was NOT reading “THE Invisible Man” by H.G. Wells (which does in fact star an actually invisible man)

So I’m readin like ‘damn, this dude fuckin goin through it! The groups of power present truly do not see him as the man he is, but rather what they wish him to be! Making him, metaphorically, invisible!

Last week I saw that my go-to streaming sited had just uploaded Mickey 17. I knew virtually nothing about Mickey 17 except that it was a scifi about a guy who was a clone or a robot or something, and it was directed by Bong Joon Ho, so I was like alright, i'll give it a shot.

The film opens in black and white, with a scene about a young struggling artist in the city meeting his girlfriend for dinner. They talk about baseball. A second man enters, and shoots the first one. By now we are 15 minutes in, and there are no clones or robots to speak of. It's all very slow-paced, very artsy, & im thinking Okay, interesting artistic choices are being made here, but I trust you, Bong Joon Ho.

Turns out it was in actual fact an indie arthouse drama named Mickey Hardaway uploaded by mistake. 2/10, not nearly enough clones.
