Holding the small.. no, relatively larger sized bitty in hand. They just stared down at him, it wasn't as if he was heavy! Far from it actually, this could very well be the same as holding one of their lovely bunnies and cradling it
The way his eyelights bore right into theirs, it's almost.. adorable.
To say the least, they did not think they'd get attached at all. Even if it's only been a short period of time that they have spent with him.
Of course, he don't actually belong to them. Hell, if they had to be brutally honest - they have no idea where he even came from. Other than finding him loitering around the park late at night with no one else around
Tending to a bitty was far different than a bunny, which they were more accustomed to.
That aside, they couldn't find the chance to look up websites on where to bring bitties to. Especially those that are presumably lost or abandoned by their owners.
The police station? That sounded likely.
However.. this bitty kept on clinging closely, if not remained at a distance where his gaze is always fixated on them. It's like he was staring at something beautiful, a gem even, which was unusual as they were more than certain they're far from beautiful.
Heaving a small sigh, they lifted the little one up and pressed a small kiss on his forehead. Showing him affection especially because he earned it, by assisting in locating a pen that they had dropped
A small, content laugh escaped him as he covered his face with his hands, tail wagging rapidly.
Though he said nothing else, seemingly flustered by the attention.
Of course, this should be the end of it all. Which, surprisingly wasn't! As the the small companion abruptly - for lack of better terms - exploded into a burst of green smoke which made it impossible to see.
Least till they felt hands wrapping around their arms as if holding on and lightly pulling them forward. Only once the smoke somewhat cleared, do they notice that the very same tiny skeleton had now grown in size. Literally towering over them with eyelights lit up in pure joy
