Thoughts on the star sanses/bad sanses,,

*cracks knuckles* OH BOY HERE WE GO

Star Sanses, obviously my favourites in the whole multiverse. My main story is CENTERED around them for Toby Fox’s sake. There is so much to be said about this trio that frankly hasn’t had ENOUGH said about them in the wider fandom. Though I believe it’s gotten better over the years.

They all have their own unique reasons to want to protect the multiverse; Ink keeping the scripts intact, Dream wanting to protect the, well, Hopes and Dreams and positive feelings of the multiverse, and Swap, IMO, being the most grounded of the three, focusing mainly on the people in the AUs. Not that Dream doesn’t care about their well-being too, ofc. Ink, uh… he’s a bit more complicated in that regard 😅, but still not a bad guy.

I will never forget how they were all reduced to “UwU goody-two-shoes babies who can’t defend themselves and exist solely to be the Big Buff Bad Guys girlf- I mean boyfriends” in the earlier fandom days. Will complain about that forever. They just have so much more potential than that and I hate to see it keep going to waste!

I’m obviously very biased towards these three, if you couldn’t tell.

Now as for the Bad Sanses…

I… don’t really care much for the Bad Sanses.

At least compared to a lot of other characters.

They are NOT very high on my priority list (are they even on my priority list?). Well, except maybe Nightmare.. and Cross ofc when he’s made a part of them.

You know how everyone has that character or group of characters that they just don’t care for and get kinda tired of due to their popularity? Yeah that’s me with the Bad Sanses, specifically the Murder Time Trio (not using “MTT” as an acronym for them that shit means METTATON).

ESPECIALLY when the Star Sanses are unnecessarily shit on (and made incredibly OOC) to make them look better, which has happened WAYYYYYYY too often.

I know people love the Found Family dynamic that people often give them, but that’s just not how I see it ig (Star Sanses doing it better in ST <3)

I DID include them in Splattertale though, but only as Nightmare’s henchmen. I have ideas for how the Gang all came together and what their internal dynamic is like, but aside from that they barely do much aside from act as relatively minor threats to fight.

It’s just Not About Them this time, sorry <3.
