sinister? forcing our will on people? the ball is in your court to block accounts that do things you don’t like. or better yet just leave social media all together, if you’re so concerned about seeing potential spoilers. it’s your problem, not ours.

You have the time to run your big baby mouth in my asks but not to do something as simple as tag a spoiler when reblogging or even write the word "leak" when making a post?

You're probably the same type of person that tells people who wear masks post covid that they should "just never leave the house" or cough in their faces on purpose.

The ball is not in my court. I can't block content that is not tagged or described as such. Blocking users only works after the fact.

And I DO try to give people the benefit of the doubt by reminding them, in case they are good people who just forgot. That doesn't sound like you.

TAG YOUR LEAKS!!!!

Folks, I don't get why this is so hard for y'all to understand. Not everyone wants to see leaked photos or spoilers of potential plot lines. Treat it as sensitive info and describe it appropriately, because it is.

People set boundaries for themselves to curate their dash as best they can by hiding posts with certain tags or words in the post. When you just post a pic and don't use any tags or post description, you circumvent the safeguards people have in place and expose them to said sensitive content.

If you recognize this and still refuse to use tags or describe them in the post as leaks, I'm going to assume you're someone who gets a kick out of forcing your will on others in the community.

yknow theres a lot of pressure to be successful, particularly on artsy kids whose professions are seen as useless unless theyre famous, but life is fucking hard and sometimes things dont turn out

but i think thats not bad. my dad has wanted to be a musician forever, and hes rly pretty good. but then he joined the military to get away from an abusive family, and then he got married, and then he got divorced, and a lot of horrible shit HAPPENED. he has ptsd and severe anxiety and he could never really get back on the horse. and he never made it as a musician, and now hes 53

but i grew up in a house full of instruments, and he can play all of them, and some of my earliest memories are of him playing guitar on the front porch and me thinking there wasnt a better musician in the world. so. even if you dont get to the stars, exactly, what you do isnt worthless. its not a waste of time if life is difficult and you cant make it, or if you arent famous, or if your work doesn’t influence thousands of people. it will influence someone

there are a million ways to be happy and a million ways to be a successful artist. we create what we do to enhance the human experience and relate to each other and improve ourselves. theres something to be said for just doing that,,,for the sake of doing it, yknow

This is the most comforting, warm and important piece of text I have ever read, and it is so true. No life is wasted that is spent sharing and loving.

My mother never became a professional artist. She became a social worker, then later taught emotionally disturbed children. But our home was filled with photographs of wildflowers and wildlife. Spice racks, shelves, and other useful objects were adorned with small paintings. She taught me and my sister that we could make things beautiful, even if in small ways, and let us glue glitter and fake gems on our cheap kids furniture and make it ours. Capitalism tries to say that art isn’t successful unless it makes money. But that’s not why humans make art. We make art to convey emotion. To make an object or a moment or a story OURS. And making someone smile when they hear you sing, or look at something you made for them is as valid a reason for creating as any other.

I find Season Four to be quite interesting in that the Duffers have confirmed that originally it was meant to be the last season, but they had to split it for the sake of pacing. Season Four is less of it's own season and more of the set-up for Season Five and that tells us a lot about the plots in Season Four.

EVERYTHING in Stranger Things is intentional and A LOT more thought-out than most people think.

Every little thing that seems weird, suspicious, bizarre, nonsensical or strange on this show is SUPPOSED to be perceived that way.

Because there are intentional in-universe reasons for all of that.

This was said by Shawn Levy, one of the executive producers and directors! “Let’s just say very few things are accidental on Stranger Things”.

This includes the famously over-hated season 3. The changes in tone, color, cinematography, personality. The Russia plot. The s4 Cali plot. Every single character.

EVERYTHING is connected and they literally tell us so, in the show itself.

I seriously need everyone to finally understand this—and instead of immediately bashing and taking everything at face-value, actually start asking more questions for tags like ST analysis and ST theories.

I’ll probably approach this topic more in depth in an upcoming analysis post.

you’re not really supposed to suspect byler on your first watch-through of s1-s3. you’re supposed to be introduced to the possibility in season four, raise an eyebrow, rewatch the past seasons, and go “ohhhhh”

at least that’s what i did. once i realized byler was on the table, i noticed how much the duffers have been laying the groundwork for them to end up together and for milkvan to break up. people who have only seen the show once will probably be very surprised, but those of us who acknowledged byler as a possibility and rewatched the show won’t be very surprised at all

i don’t think people who have only seen the show once will give much of a fuck about who mike ends up with, unless they’re homophobic, so it’s not really anti-byler evidence that you wouldn’t expect them to end up together on first watch-through either

the people who did suspect it even before season four are genuinely insane though. yall ogs know whats up

I noticed it early on (suspected it after season 1, but I didn't think it was really happening until after season 2), but it was likely because I found myself recognizing signs from my own experiences. I can see how the average viewer would miss it at first.

What gets me is people burying their heads in the sand and denying it even now.
