Alright lemme give you Lucas’ friendships, since there isn’t alot. First off is Red and his Pokémon. I mean if you know Subspace Emissary, you know why. He also gets along well with Jigglypuff, Lucario, and Pikachu in Brawl

In Smash 4, he befriended MewTwo. A test tube creature, that seems to hate everyone. Lucas gave it a chance. And then, there’s Mega Man. When Lucas had to fight Mega Man he has a panic attack because Mega Man looks similar enough to how Lucas’ brother, Claus, looked after being brainwashed. So it didn’t go to well. Rock felt bad, and tried to help, calming him down. The two bonded, but subconsciously Lucas was projecting his brother onto him, even slipping up and calling him Claus. He also befriended female Robin (I’ll go into the differences between the Robins in a later ask). And she acts almost motherly but Lucas had more time to process the loss of his mother so he’s not projecting or anything. Though she DOES mention she died and came back, and manages to get a Bifröst from Corrin so when Lucas goes home he can use it (let me revive my favorite character!). And that helps him be less… projecty.

Ultimate introduces Inkling but I already talked about her. Red is back so Lucas is happy. And he befriends Young Link. Both are arguably the most traumatized of the child characters so they bond over that.

Among the Pokéball Pokémon, he befriends Genesect.

Also, Lucas may be meek, and timid, and a bit of a crybaby, but the moment one of his friends or family are threatened he will fight. He’s got nothing to lose but other people, he’d willingly die for them and he’s already lost so much he’s not gonna lose the people he bonded with!!

You may be wondering, where is Ness? Ness avoids him, after he was told what happened in Mother 3. Because if, at the end of Earthbound, he had stopped Porky from time traveling away, none of Mother 3 would have happened. So he blames himself
