It would prove that Byler was planned from the very beginning, as early as Season 1, rather than being a last-minute addition. Why? Because every viewer would immediately recall the very first scene when Will went missing and the lights flickered. That moment would serve as undeniable proof that Byler was always part of the story's foundation.
Some argue that the Duffer Brothers don’t need to include flashbacks because the evidence has always been there, and people will eventually notice. However, I disagree. Many people actively refuse to acknowledge queer narratives, and without explicit proof within the show, they will claim Byler was forced or only included due to fan pressure.
That’s why incorporating flashbacks and highlighting past Byler moments is crucial. It ensures that even the most reluctant viewers cannot deny its presence. If Flickergate happens, no one will be able to question Byler’s significance because it will be undeniably woven into the show's fabric. Those who oppose it won’t be able to dismiss it as an afterthought when the evidence has been there since the very first episode. Byler was always meant to happen, and with clear, undeniable proof, no one will be able to doubt it.
