have to do a 3-4 minute podcast for class and.... i just did my first run through it is 14 minutes!!! fuck my life!!!!!

i emailed my professor and asked if i could have 10 mintues.... i'm hoping for says yes

#by the WAY#it's either a 3-4 minute multi-media project like a podcast#or a 5-7 page paper#like why compared to a 7 page paper 3 minutes is so short????#how am i meant to show off all my research#in three minutes#that's nothing#I DONT EVEN LIKE HISTORY#BUT I WANNA TALK ABOUT IT ANYWAY#AND THREE MINUTES ISN'T ENOUGH#also she gave us so many weeks to work on this#so i'm nervous i'm doing it wrong#because it's due in two weeks and i could finish it this weekend if i really wanted to

i hate that "atyd" is just like a general tag for everything to do with the marauders and that's nothing against the fic but it's everything against the people who make certain fics into gospel so no one can ever mess with what's written in them and refuse to accept that other canons can exist (and when they do exist they'll always be doomed to be compared to a another fic)

#it's that whole like there can't be a jily hunger games fic because that's just copying crivers thing#which is stupid#like making all the young dudes just like canon#makes it impossible for other people to write canon fics without being compared to atyd#not to mention it puts one fic up on this giant pedestal and that's not the point of fandom#but i digress#i guess it doesn't matter that much#the marauders
