maxiel literally HAD and HAS that juice to a level soooooooooooooooooooooo rare in like, not just fandom or sports rpf or rpf but like literally just life. like max literally WAS a feral child who didn't know socks came in colors other than black and white and daniel WAS charismatic on a level that is sickeningly hot and daniel literally did introduce him to joy and friendship and connection and making mistakes and being goofy and having fun and forgiveness and play and sexual attraction and, also, love. and it all happened on bad quality facebook lives and interviews with scenic backdrops and in the fucking red bull headquarters (evil supervillain lair). and like. max was SO weird and SO in love and have no concept of hiding any part of himself and daniel was so generous to him even as he was also a huge asshole. max loves his NOSE and daniel doesn't EXPECT THAT because he thinks it's too big!!!!!!

like in the fucking caravan video you GENUINELY see max healing his site of trauma (dutch caravans) by making a mistake and instead of being punished for it daniel LAUGHS and YES ANDS and then they DESTROY THE CARAVANS TOGETHER and max is so happy he literally FLAPS HIS HANDS to STIM which he never does in any other video ever recorded presumably because it was forbidden as a child. like the burden is being literally destroyed by laughter and joy and connection. and then after they have what is, genuinely, still one of BOTH of their favorite memories they fucking sit there and the video ends with a shot of two sausages cooking on a grill. OKAY!!!!

and everything's different now and i can barely think of daniel without the depression falling but like. that doesn't mean it wasn't the truest thing ever captured on camera. it doesn't mean that daniel didn't literally help shape max into the person he is today who can laugh about his bad car and tell reporters that his life is great outside racing so why would he be mad. daniel's last act ever in formula one was sacrificing himself for max to get one (1) point and it was so romantic they took that option away forever.
