I love the show Straighter Things so much 🥰
Meh, could be straighter. I'll wait for the spin-off, The Straightest Thing.
You're right, I hate that they put Mike Wheelerino in the show actually because it just makes it too queer 😰
yesss i am so excited for the stranger things spinoff, the Straightest Thing! the series will take place approximately one month after the events of s5 and will follow mike and el’s struggles to keep their marriage afloat since will is dead and therefore cannot keep repairing their relationship. the show will culminate in a life or death monologue from mike where he tells el that meeting her was the best thing he’s ever done and then they’ll hold hands and play a dnd campaign in mike’s basement, reprising their roles as paladin and cleric. in the epilogue, which takes place 9 months later, we are introduced to their child (the first of many) who they’ve named after will to honour everything he’s done for their relationship, such as the painting, which made mike and el’s bond stronger than ever! david bowie’s heroes will play during the credits, leaving the viewer with powerful lyrics such as “the shame was on the other side” symbolizing how now that will (the shame) is dead (the other side), mike can finally embrace his deep love for el and live as his true and authentic self. i’m so excited!
