As Elon Musk cements his place in history as a fascist tech overlord and the rest of the world looks at us in horror, I really do want to reiterate what I feel will be lost to the history books

Nearly everyone in america has thought and continues to think that Elon is very cringe.

Despite not being a USA citizen, everyon has... no, MUST remember that the billionare Elon Musk has such a tiny, pathetic and childish ego, that he had the need to lie about being a hardcore epic gamer in Path of Exile 2, only to be caught red-handed as the hilarious sham that he is, and ban everyone who exposed him.

the doge meme is from 2013. its easy for dates in history books to get kinda blurry and to just print something like "the department of government efficiency was named after a popular meme at the time", but i think its important to record that musk named the agency that is illegally seizing our government after a joke so outdated that the dog in the picture has since died of old age

These men just stole the personal information of everyone in America AND control the Treasury. Link to article.

Spread their names!

elon is really mad about this so it would be a shame if people kept spreading the names around

If you’re an American federal employee and got an email saying “it’s ok to quit your job.” Do not, for the love of everything, quit your job. This is purely a scare tactic to get rid of as many people as possible without legal consequences.

Obviously, Trump has realized firing everyone in the government will be harder than he thought because of robust legal protections so he’s trying to scare or trick people into leaving instead because he knows they can block and slow his fascist agenda. Don’t let that happen. If you’re in the civil service, your country needs you; stay in your job and protect the constitution. And if you’re not in civil service, do what you can to support the civil service, including calling your representatives and asking them to protect civil servants.

Important addition: the email was almost WORD FOR WORD the same email sent to Twitter employees after Musk took over. It does not consider Federal employee rights or regulations, parts of it make NO SENSE WHATSOEVER (you resign but will be kept on active payroll and simply won’t be given work or need to come in. For 8 months.).

8 months pay with the ability to get a new job is very tempting, especially for lower-paid workers. All that extra money could really cover some gaps and relieve financial pressures. It’s tempting. I get it.

ITS ALSO NOT LIKELY LEGAL AS WRITTEN AND YOUR AGREEMENT COULD ACTUALLY SCREW YOU. There’s a reason so many of the recent EOs and initial memorandums are getting halted or rewritten - no thought or research was given to what they can do given actual regulations and union contracts. Because many are coming from Musk via DOGE, and Musk has NEVER had to deal with unions, federal employee regulations, and strong opponents capable of fighting back HARD with decades of legal precedent at their back.

Reality seems to be hitting as an afterthought to all the shit spewing like a firehose from this administration. Don’t react to the first edition of ANYTHING. Given it a few days and see what actually can be done.

Right now, r/fednews is the biggest social media hub for federal employees anywhere; you can find resources, advice, news, memes, and encouragement there.

If you're not a federal employee, feel free to pop over anyway for information, and please send well-wishes! They really need it right now, as their jobs are so so so important but not very popular or prestigious, and now the wealthiest and most powerful people in the world are trying to take their livelihoods.

The architect of Project 2025, Russell Vought, is now Trump's director for the Office of Managenent and Budget -

ie, the main guy who created Project 2025 is now the topmost-level manager and coordinator of all federal agencies.

His vision for federal civil servants, in his own words:

"We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected. When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work because they are increasingly viewed as the villains.

We want their funding to be shut down so that the EPA can't do all of the rules against our energy industry because they have no bandwidth financially to do so.

We want to put them in trauma."

Project 2025 specifically targets federal civil servants for a reason. They are the essential first and second lines of defense of the US democracy and the fascists know it.

Support our civil servants, support your rights.

This is so important.

Support civil servants, support your rights!

And if you’re in the civil service we’re all rooting for you. You are heroes. Even slowing him down buys valuable time to defeat the fascist agenda. Defend the constitution. We stand with you. Hold the line! Don’t resign!

Civil servant here: this is 100% true. Trump also illegally fired 15+ Inspectors General. IGs are independent watchdogs inside federal departments and agencies, who are mandated to root out 'fraud, waste, and abuse.' They're also the main place where whistleblower complaints are taken -- and they provide protection from whistleblower retaliation.

While some IGs *can* be fired by the President, he must give Congress 30 days notice, and a compelling reason to do so. Trump did neither.

This isn't about efficiency. It isn't about saving money. If it was, he wouldn't fire Inspectors General.

This is about replacing independent watchdogs with loyalists so he can weaponize their investigative capabilities against federal employees.

I've seen a lot of comparisons being made this week: McCarthyism, The Red Scare, I was even directly told to 'operate under Don't Ask, Don't Tell' rules. I can say with grim certainty that this is much, much, much worse.

Look up 'Night of the Long Knives.' You won't be able to unsee it. Fellow feds: Pay attention, stick together, stay safe. Stay in the fight.

“Be curious about what you’re writing about” is not stock Common Writing Advice but it really, really should be. There are a lot of written works that fail due to the authors just being obviously incurious about what they are writing about.

Concept: fratsonas. Create a self-insert that’s a douchey frat bro. Mine’s name is Josh

Everyone keeps tagging this saying they’re Chad but listen guys. We can’t all be a Chad. If you really want your fratsona to be a Chad you have to earn it

Ok so like I don’t usually add to posts on here but I’ve got a story about fratsonas:

I used to work at a cafe/crepe place and right before I left for school I was telling my coworker (Kyle) about how I had been thinking about joining the wakeboard club. It was funny to me because I am a very tiny lady and the rest of the club are all big buff bro dudes with long hair and backwards snap backs. So Kyle and I got to poking a little fun at them and began talking to each other in the “bro voice” at work, saying things like “bruh boutta flip this crepe bruh it’s gonna be gnarly, boutta shred this cheese like I shred the waves bruh” “yeah bruh you gotta SnapBack?? Cool cool” and so on. This went on for a couple days and eventually we came up with names for our frat boy alter egos. I was Chaz Michael Skyler and Kyle was Javelin Reviol Mcdermitt the Second. Our shenanigans ensued for like a week as we developed personalities and backstories for our fratsonas. Eventually the rest of he staff got in on it. One girl went by Shredder Cheese and would do the rock on sign, stick her tongue out and yell “SHREDDER!!” And we’d all cheer in the back room. Another guy went simple by Legend. He was the coolest frat guy by far. A real strong silent type. A personal favorite of mine was our assistant manager joined in as an exchange student from Ireland nicknamed Shotgun Shamus who could shotgun literally anything. We’d be making batter in the back room and he’d drop to his knees and shotgun the left over milk before crushing the carton against his forehead and slamming it into the recycle bin. This went on right up until my last day.

This is beautiful

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.

Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.

wow. really hope this isn't actually a norm taking hold with new users! this isn't facebook, you don't need to know people before following them

this is the '10 year mutuals you've never spoken to once' site
