OOC: Everytime I show Blackmore to my friends they all agree he looks like a sad wet cat about to burst into tears

Anonymous asked:

Reckon I've finally side stepped Mrs.robinson and oyeocmova so I can finally ask you about something that's been on my mind.

When we were fighting, why were you trying to bite me? Why my neck at that? Cant imagine it tastes good.

"It's an effective way of grabbing someone, s... Tim. Not only can I distract the enemy momentarily, but I can speak to them without having to fully approach physically.

.........

But, um... I didn't... put much thought into where I'd bite you, though..."

"I.. guess that makes sense. Glad you didn't actually bite me! Would've pulled the trigger in pure shock, haha.."

The gears in his brain are visibly trying to turn. "...Wouldn't you do that regardless of where I bit you? Or-- hold on, I'm missing something, why is it weird to..."

"Its a sensitive area for most people. Lots of important bits and bobs sit in our throats. So we tend to act more instinctively when someone happens there compared to say... our arms or legs." Tim patiently explained,"You probably don't realize since your clothes cover your throat."

".....Oh. Oh, no, I get it now." Blackmore hung his head low. "I'm so~rry... I probably should have thought that through more..."

"Hey hey hey! It's alright. I aint mad at you." Tim reassured, patting his shoulders. "I can see your logic in going for there if anything.'

"And you've thought about it. I must have embarrassed you... or confused you... or both."

Tim's reassurance seemed to have helped his mood, though, even just a little.

"At least you aren't upset. I know... quite a lot of people who would be, in your situation."

"I won't lie. A bit of both yeah." Tim confirmed,"But I assumed that like me, you were full of adrenaline and were just doing what you thought would nail you the win. Hell, id probably try biting too if I thought it would work."

He probabaly wouldn't but who knows. Desperate times call for desperate measures afterall.

"I know plenty of people who would have been upset getting shot in the chest. You took it like a champ."

Blackmore paused, attempting to picture that. Unfortunately, the image of Tim biting someone was both unlikely and slightly amusing to him.

"Somehow, I don't think I can picture you doing that either way."

He shrugged.

"And uh... yeah, because... that's my job. I kind of have to take it like a champ, haha, along with... a lot of other things... like breaking windows."

Tim snorted, playfully snapping his teeth together.

"Better be careful then. Never know when I may bite." He teased before shaking his head. "... you broke a window? Kind of hard to imagine for me."

Momentarily, he wondered whether or not to take that playful warning seriously. Blackmore then decided to just move on.

"Oh, I've done it before. Sometimes, using the normal entrance takes too long, especially in cases of emergencies..."

Like when he tried to catch Mrs. Steel, but he held his tongue at that part.

"Right. So you just broke a window. Do you .. just punch it or do you kick it out? Or do you use your elbow? I'm only asking because I have a gut feeling this is knowledge I'll need soon." Tim raised a brow. "How do you protect yourself from being cut?"

"I go in legs-first and use my elbow, too. My legs are sort of... curled, so to speak. I don't go in feet-first."

Blackmore tapped his chin.

"As for protection, I raise my arm in front of my face so the glass doesn't land in my eye. That's it."

"So mostly the flats of your limbs to create a break at multiple points..." Tim nodded before reaching to flick him. "But you've certainly cut yourself doing that. Be more careful!"

His face scrunches up playfully at the flick. "So~rry, sir... it's true, I've got a few scars on me 'cause of that. I'll be more careful. I doubt I'll be breaking windows anytime soon, though..."

"You shouldn't need to but if you do, wrap your arm with more fabric and sweep through the edge glass to get in safely or ill get upset with you!"

He straightens himself immediately. "Yessir. I don't want you to get upset with me; If that's what I need to do to prevent it, then so be it."

"I'll accept that sir just this once." Tim pat his head with a grin,"I just want you to be careful, okay?'

Blackmore nods his head. "I'm aware. I need to be a little more careful with my health, anyway... thank you for reminding me."

He pauses, then leans forward.

".....Have you been taking care of yourself, 'Mountain Tim'? If I may express my opinion, you always seem to worry about others and not yourself."

Tim grimaced, leaning back to avoid his gaze.

"I've been taking care of myself best I ever did." He tried,"Im alright. You dont gotta worry about me, blackmore."

"So, you haven't," Blackmore bluntly said, mostly to himself. He tilts his head to the right. "I admire your benevolence... but I recall you saying once, 'if you arent in a good state, how can you get someone else to a good state?'"

Or something along those lines. He couldn't recall it word-for-word, but he assumed he got pretty close.

He at least had enough shame to look away like a scolded pup.

"I did say that..." He confirmed, voice meeker. "I've been trying but I keep coming across yall and I just... I've been focusing on everyone else. My bad.."

"....."

Blackmore's expression softened. His hand reached out as if to place itself on Tim's shoulder, but it quickly withdrew.

"I'm so~rry. I didn't mean to belittle your efforts or anything. Just..."

He tilted his head left.

"...try to focus on yourself more. Again, I won't force you to, but..."

Tims look hardly budged at the almost touch, shame evident in the way he shifted almost anxiously. He was never that good at actually giving a damn for himself.

Near death could do that.

".. I'll do better. It's not right for me to scold you or PPHK or even axl if I'm neglecting myself too."

"Tim..."

Blackmore let out a breath he hadn't noticed he was holding. Of course, he should have suspected he would've tried to help each and every one of them in his own way.

"Just try your best and let me help you do the rest," He offered, "I'll help you do better."

His method of expressing loyalty had always been 'acts of service', after all.

Tim finally looked back towards him, fingers curling and uncurling before he nodded.

"Sorry for making you do any of this at all." He sighed,"But I appreciate it and I trust you ..'

"...."

Blackmore's hands intertwined as he shifted awkwardly from side to side.

"It's okay. You're my friend, it's... what we do, isn't it? So~rry, I'm not sure what to say..."
