I draw comics about my transition here: [ https://tinyurl.com/TheWitchyDemoness ] You can also find them by searching "the witchy demoness" hashtag. The Icon this blog uses is by dozy-draws! I'm 28 and my pronous are she/her/they/them/it/its.

A little boy just looked at me and went โ€œwoah! That girl is so tall!! I didnโ€™t know girls could get that tall!โ€ To his grandpa.

Grandpa talked to him about how he had tall women in his family and how pretty tall girls are and the boy said he should ask me out ๐Ÿ’€ so grandpa was like โ€œsheโ€™s probably already marriedโ€

Listening to this exchange was so cute and so gender affirming bc not once did either of them imply I was actually a man Iโ€™m gonna cry this was so sweet.

Just like. Grandpa didnโ€™t try to โ€œum actuallyโ€ correct him about me being trans just went instantly into giving him respect women juice lmfao

I was bracing for the kid to get corrected on calling me a girl but when it didnโ€™t happen i felt such a relief instantly. At no point did it become A Problem for me to deal with, grandpa just gently had a convo about how women come in all sizes and how the boy has really tall family members too and Iโ€™m just sitting here trying not to cry (positive) bc gender euphoria mixed with it just being such a cute convo to listen to.

Iโ€™ve been having a lot of anxiety lately as someone who โ€œdoesnโ€™t passโ€ but whoโ€™s also extremely Visible due to being 6โ€™2โ€ and having a very distinctive style, but every time I have a younger queer or kid look at me with stars in their eyes because some facet of me that I refuse to hide is amazing to them, it makes me so fucking happy. Like, to this kid I wasnโ€™t some tranny, I was just a Giant Woman and he didnโ€™t realize that was possible until he saw me. ๐Ÿฅน

A giant woman :)

Super Cool! You give me Garnet vibes.

:) :) :) :)

Just to be clear with regard to the previous reblog: this is not a hypothetical or a threat-of-the-week, it's what just happened.

UK Supreme Court has effectively declared the wording of the Gender Recognition Act 2004 overruled by the wording of the Equality Act 2010, despite the fact that the Equality Act was written with the understanding that the Gender Recognition Act officially changed one's legal gender for all and any remaining purposes, including those pertaining to biological sex, which it defines broadly as including those having undergone transition, but it clearly includes us, so that was taken care of at the time, and is now being undone.

Note also that this legal ruling only affects trans women.

The court has been criticised after it refused to allow trans women to take part in the hearings, although it did allow the civil rights group Amnesty UK to participate on the Scottish governmentโ€™s side.
Victoria McCloud, a retired judge who changed her legal sex more than 20 years ago, was refused permission to be heard in the case. She said that meant โ€œthe only affected group was excludedโ€.

There's a progress flag in the window of my favorite book store. It's been there for years. It's there year-round. It's the reason why it's my favorite book store. It's so comforting to know you're welcome somewhere
