And brother there's no place like home
i love when i “make a mental note” of something. it’s gone within 20 seconds
Stained glass window
As much as Lin and Suyin say that they didn’t like each other, they seem very comfortable with touching each other. Lin always puts her arm around Su or her face. Su naturally hid towards Lin’s body during their fight with P’li. I guess Im not convinced by the “we didnt get along” card.
Headcanon: Lin and Suyin slept together in the same bed longer than they should have.
Headcanon: Whenever they were just lounging around, Lin and Suyin always had body parts on top of each other.
A note on this- I’ve researched a pretty fair amount on blindness and blind parenting in particular for my fics and once piece of information I’ve come across multiple times is that the children of blind parents often use touch as a form of communication far more than is typical of society at large. There are a lot of stories about children of blind parents having difficulty assimilating in pre-school or kindergarten because they are overly-familiar with their peers and make them uncomfortable. Blind parents seem to all have to have the conversation with their children around that age that they need to ask permission before they use their hands on other people (face touching, hand holding etc)
I’ve always felt that Lin is instinctually physically demonstrative, but she keeps her arms crossed all the time for this reason- kind of a reminder or conditioned behavior not to grab at people or what have you. So, it makes sense to me that even as estranged adults she and Su would communicate in a very physical way with each other- whether it be affectionately or beating the ever loving shit out of one another.
affirmations: you are not real, you don’t have feelings, you don’t want anything, this will be over soon
Her commitment to the bit is outstanding.
Bonus: If I buy a book I get to keep it! The publisher can't turn up at my house at random and confiscate all the books I bought.
Posting faggot and queer like 2am gunshots to keep property values on my blog low and scare away assimilationist LGBTs who want to replace my empty lot full of native wildflowers with a 5-over-1 because they're too traumatized by their upbringing to accept the reality of our diverse marginalized community
The dykes and trannies in the notes have informed me they would like to be included in this commentary on the homogenizing forces of gentrification within the queer community as represented by language discourse around "slur" reclamation
I made some little fairies out of pressed flowers 🌷
