  • if you say you're trans, you're trans. end of. there's no other requirements.
  • sex is a spectrum, not a binary. also, intersex people belong in the queer community.
  • TMA and TME are just terms used to describe a group most affected by a certain type of discrimination (in this case, transmisogyny). no, TME does not automatically mean transmasc. it just means anyone who can't exempt themself from transmisogyny. (what do TME/TMA mean?)
  • thought crimes aren't real and having paraphilias doesn't automatically make you an Evil Bad Person
  • callout posts are only ever harmful. yes even if they really did do that thing they're being accused of.
  • the tr*nsandroph*bia movement is just Mens' Rights Movement: Transgender Edition. yes, transmascs are oppressed. that is purely because we are transgender. not because we are transgender & masc.
  • asexual and aromantic people belong in the queer community. yes, even the cishet ones.
  • vote-scolding people who have already made up their mind about an election is only going to make everyone more upset at each other, and calling people bots or russian psy-ops for having a different political opinion is uh. Not Cool. to put it politely (a.k.a. that behavior is rooted in primarily USamerican racism and xenophobia.) sometimes people just have different takes based on different lived experiences!

tagging explanations, sideblogs, other socials, and fursona refs under the cut :3

We live in extreme poverty, with little food, endless hunger, daily oppression, and constant fear. Children are dying in silence, and large numbers of them are lost in a single day. We have lost hope in life, and darkness surrounds us from all sides.

(Don’t forget, this is the reality—we are not in a dream)

Don’t forget us—do something, anything! Share, donate, like—help us survive.

From future teacher to homeless person 💔

My story and hope for survival😭

I am Israa Alwan I am 22 years old, a young woman who once had big dreams and was ready to achieve them. After years of hard work and study, I finally received my degree in Early Childhood Education. It was an indescribable joy, knowing I was about to start my journey as a teacher, to help shape young minds and walk alongside them in their first steps toward knowledge.

But my dream didn’t last. The war came and turned my life upside down. My home, which was once a safe haven, is now rubble, and I am left with only a few belongings and a shattered bag of dreams. Now, I am without a home, a job, or any sense of security. I move from place to place with my family, searching for a shelter to protect our children and the sick from the cold winter and the scorching summer.

My brother Shadi, who has always been my strength and support, now bears the heavy responsibility of caring for our entire family, doing everything he can to protect us and provide us with the bare essentials, despite the harsh conditions😭😭😭

Today, I reach out to you, driven by a shared humanity, seeking your support to help us survive and find a way out of this life that was forced upon us.

last week two ambulances, a fire truck, a UN vehicle and around 16 rescue workers were dispatched to save people crushed under the rubble after a bombing in rafah (do you remember rafah? one of biden's red lines.) they disappeared, and due to israeli tanks nobody could enter the area and nobody knew what had happened to them.

a few days ago after the tanks left the vehicles were discovered crushed and buried under the sand, and one rescue worker's body was recovered. israel admitted to targeting them. and then yesterday the rest of the workers' bodies were recovered in a mass grave. one of the corpses had wire around one foot, indicating torture and interrogation, several handcuffed, all of them buried in their clearly marked uniforms and gloves.

cnn reported this story alongside like five other incidents of israel targeting humanitarian workers this past week to little outrage because the workers killed were palestinian and not international, and because israel has been regularly killing humanitarian workers.

but for the PRCS (the palestinian red crescent society), the same organization that hind rajab called desperately from her car around this time last year, one of the few that struggled to save lives throughout the war even when it got their workers killed by israeli forces, these are fathers, sons and loved ones who spent a genocide digging people out of rubble with no equipment and trying to save lives:

all of them were buried in a careless mass grave of rescue workers, found after a week of pleading from their loved ones and radio silence from their murderers and those who enable them.

the way physical media is becoming more of an afterthought because everything is being pushed to online subscriptions and stores for the sole purpose of making more money SUCKSSSS

capitalism is evil.

why buy a movie or game from a store when you can just subscribe/make an account online and buy everything all at once so we then can shove more products in your face for MORE money.

you ever notice how everything now, especially on YouTube and social media is infested with ads, this is why lol.

Israel continues the massacres in Gaza... 232 souls taken in less than an hour! We are dying before your eyes—please, don’t leave us alone! Save us, do something... protest, donate, participate. I don’t want to die!

still struggling with unemployment and financial issues after suffering a really severe mental episode back in November-December. i hate to keep asking for help but im worried for my roommate and i’s safety the longer this goes on, especially since we’re both fully unmedicated and are constantly facing eviction risk

i take art commissions here if anybody’s interested… otherwise i have donations open if anybody would like to help at all. any amount is deeply genuinely appreciated…thank you all very much

Please help my little brother ibrahim @wolf-aid and his family survive in Gaza!!

Israel is bombing refugee camps again, and ibrahim's family only narrowly escaped a bombing recently. They have since moved camps and still need money for food, water, and other basic necessities to get them through. He is so young and your generosity and kindness have gotten him through the past year - please keep it up!!

if you can't donate to GFM directly, please send any amount to my cashapp and it will go to ibrahim and his family!! thank you!!!

thank you!!! <3333

so long as we're back to social justice 101 on this stupid website, u need to be aware of the feedback loop that emerges from disproportionate scrutiny: any social group that is placed under extra scrutiny, regardless of the actual prevalence of any particular behaviour, will appear to engage in that behaviour more often.

you see this most blatantly with racialised groups (more cops in black neighbourhoods = more arrests in black neighbourhoods = "omg look at all the crime in these neighbourhoods!" = more cops in black neighbourhoods etc). even if the rate of crime is the same (putting to one side the criminalisation of poverty which is also an important related factor), one group gets away with it way more often and a new generation of racists is indoctrinated with the crime statistics which "prove" that some groups are simply more criminal in nature. we see a similar phenomenon online with particular groups (trans women being a huge example) being subjected to mass stalking, their every move documented by weirdos and broadcast as representative of the group as a whole.

tl;dr - overscrutinising groups based on existing bigotries creates a recurring feedback loop, reproducing those bigotries across generations and nominally justifying them. this is bad, and you need to remember that you are not immune to it.

additionally, this kinda thing is why "my political ideology is called Being A Good Person" does not fucking work. the world is set up to keep you from accidentally stumbling onto these dynamics. either you develop a capacity for critical analysis which can light your path, or you happily toddle down that road to hell convinced you're on the right side of history. go read some theory.

i want to shake many young women and say you can grow in private. and what i mean by that is that you don’t have to publicly self-flagellate when you don’t know something or when you say something a little insensitive or whatever else. you don’t have to report your Bad Thoughts and Ignorance to the crowd who waits to judge you. you do not have to pay penance. you do not have to issue public statements. nothing more is gained from burying yourself in shame than you could gain by thinking “oh i don’t know about this” and looking it up real quick, or thinking “hm, that wasn’t how i want to behave, i’ll do different next time” and then moving on with your life. no need to choke yourself with it.

it is absolutely essential to have friends you can have extremely insane pervert conversations with. this is kind of what makes life worth living

I went to an exhibition on the history of migration and colonial rhetoric in Australia and it really helped me to pinpoint my exact issue with the way non-Australians (and. tbh. some aussies) talk about this country

this map is a piece of propaganda from 1921. honestly what shocked me about it was how little of Australia is marked out as “uninhabited”. I have seen maps shared around on this website that basically mark out the entirety of non-coastal Australia as “empty”. fucking colonialists from 1921 were more generous than some of you

the history of colonial Australia is a history of “taming the untameable land”. this has been reinforced through narratives that this country is:

  • inherently dangerous
  • uninhabitable
  • empty

this rhetoric survives in both the way Australia is imagined by non-Australians and in the self-image of Australia. the (white) aussie battler conquers the unconquerable. the outback is imagined as a post-apocalyptic hellscape. our fauna is categorised as uniquely hellish and unwieldy. so when non-Australians make joke after joke about how scared they are of this place. well you can imagine why it fills me with the kind of rage that can only be generated by the understanding that You Are Reinforcing Colonialism

I have a suggestion
